I think some are missing my point.
Sure. Lots of of players decide, for a variety of reasons, not to enter the draft, and then announce they are coming back for another run in their last year of eligibility. Two famous examples i listed wwere Chubb and Sony.
But Ladd has two years of eligibility left. So this is different. By him announcing with his staff created glamour shot that he is coming back for “1 more year”, he is effectively already going ahead and announcing that he will be foregoing his last year of eligilbilit in 2024 and will instead enter the 2024 nfl draft. While he hasnt even set foot on the practice field yet for 2023.
The problem here is that nothing in this life is guaranteed in case you havent noticed. So this is very unwise and also a little arrogant, in my opinion.
I think it's equally possible that he didn't put near as much thought into his message as you have.

Try color’n quicker, dog. When he posts a glamour shot and types “One last ride with my guys!” , i think its pretty safe to assume he meant that this year is his last ride.
Its no different than if Brock Bowers starts posting about 2023 being his last year. We all know it probably will be, but now is not the time to say that.
Kirby says at Georgia guys have to be willing to eat off the floor, but bragging about leaving early for NFL an entire year before you plan on it, is the opposite of that. Color dat.

By that logic, "one last ride" is more problematic considering what just happened. But only if you over-analyze things.

You have no soul, but whatever. If Kirby had his say, i believe he would have suggested “Im back! Lets do it agin!” or something along those lines.
“One last ride with my guys” after only two years on the playing field is bush league imo

You sound like Steak Shapiro.

So be it.
Kirby addressed the fans on the Natl championship stage 97 seconds after going back to back and pleaded for us not to let guard down and get complacent.
Proud to be doing my part. Unlike you and the other enablers.

The other thing about the UGA glamour shots is that they remind me of how Trump teased that he would be making a special announcement, and all the followers thought that he was about to announce that he was mobilizing dissident factions within the US military to unseat president Brandon, or that Q was going to be his running mate in 2024, or etc. But then the special announcement turned out to be a sales pitch to by digital Trump super hero glamour shots.
None of this stuff is a good sign. Im sorry. We’re in trouble

It's a last ride only for the players, and possibly assistants, who will be gone in 2024. Kirby is in for the long haul. He's having too much fun.

That's it?
That's all it takes for you to turn insults like "hollywood" and "glamour shots" at Ladd McConkey?
He's now enough on your shite list to insult/mock him on message boards?

But Ladd will be a senior in the 2023 season. Few high draft picks have ever stayed for a 5th year so most of us expected he would go th the NFL next year. Most players that return for their 5th season are not draftable or suffered serious injuries and missed a season or more.

You weren't paying attention if you think that was his big announcement that day.

Shocked, just shocked, to see Jefferson melt over the stupidest shite ever. This might be a new low for him.

This is not new or news. The have been heading down the rabbit hole since the 80's. It all started with Hookers and Blow.

Maybe Kirby encouraged the announcement to send a message to some 2024 recruits that Ladd wouldn't be in their way for playing time after next season. Who knows.

Can't wait for Ladd to hit the Stetquavious workout routine.
He's going to show up for Fall Camp looking like chiseled marble before dropping the greatest honky stat season in WR history.

That is the biggest opportunity for improvement for Ladd (strength).
I think he made a big leap from 2021.
He was much better running through defenders in 2022.
Another level of improvement and look out for what he can do in the draft.
