Nothing on the grill

Pressure cooker chuck roast (5 pounds)
We call it "stringed meat" when its done. One of my silly kids calked it that years ago. Probably Mississippi style with a jar of peppers in the cooker w it.

Gravy for the top

Sides will be
Mashed potatoes
Broccoli or Green Beans

This was the finished product - some sausage left and no ribs.

Just put the 8.7lbpork butt on the smoker about an hour ago - forgot to take a pic. Will update when I raise the temperature from 180-230 at 4am. Planning for a 5pm dinner tomorrow - with a 3 hour rest

We did the same. Roast in the slow cooker, mashed potatoes and cooked some carrots. We took some of the juice from the roast and made gravy for the mashed taters and spooned some on my roast.
Today I'm picking turnip greens, mustard greens, and collards from the garden to have with the leftover roast tonight. Got a nice chunk of ham to go in the pot with the greens and will make cornbread in my cast iron skillet. Got some fresh churned butter from a neighbor for the cornbread.
