Watching a replay of the Game I noticed how terrible they were with herbie mispronouncing multiple players names calling Kirby Kirby Smith and the multiple commercials during the most crucial parts of the game, Bowers First down on 4th and 6 . Going to commercial during Harrison’s Jrs layout by Bullard . ESPN seriously botched this game terribly in my opinion

Every replayed the showed, Carter was getting hooked, held, or tackled and all they kept talking about how slow and gassed he looked going to the side lines. frickers were watching the same game we were and never brought up one instance of blatant holding

Why is a Ohio State guy working an Ohio State game. He can claim impartiality all he wants but we all have our implicit biases.

My favorite was Herbie rattling off the injury list for OSU like he had memorized it for the starring role in the high school play. Of course he didn’t do the same for our injuries.

this doesn't really bother me that much. Stinchcomb has called quite a few UGA games on national TV over the years and nobody bats an eye at that.

Fowler and Herbstreit are ESPN's #1 annoucnign team and tyhey get the #1 game; if OSU happens to be in it then oh well. I notice nobody ever asks if Fowler would be able to be on the call during a Colorado game which is his alma mater.

Fowler's "TOUCHDOW...." call on Kenny's sniper moment has made me chuckle every time so far

He was so ready to let that call RIP and had his moment stolen from him by Kenny tossing the look over his shoulder

Fowler's call during ringo's pick 6 was phenomenal. When I was young I disliked fowler simply because of a random offhand comment he made about drunk students in athens one time but I've grown to really aprpeacite him and his craft. I love hearing him announce our games.

Also those candid videos that fowler and herbstreit put out a few times this season while getting shitfaced flying back home after the late games was awesome.

Fowlers call of that was 1000x better than Scott H.

Scott's call of the field goal sucked too.

I really feel like he would have delivered if he didn’t get sick. Sucks we will never know

That's because Colorado will never be in a Playoff game. They don't call them the Fluffalos for nothing.

I stopped watching the traditional telecast and went to the hanging camera view. It doesn't have any announcers. All you hear are the crowd noises.

Yeah, that elongated 'no goooood' sounded weird.

Skycast is cool. I also liked the old coaches room they’d do with Like Mac Brown, Gene Chizik, Larry Fedora etc. they were very enlightening.

I watched the replay on YouTube TV but it was different from the live game on YouTube TV. The replay was edited down to save time. Cuts to commercials were more frequent and the cuts were early.

That Kirby Smith from Herbstreit was ridiculous.

The coaches room for the rose bowl is gold.

After the devastating loss, Herbstreit mentioned that his dad had been a Captain for the Ohio State football team and that he had been a Captain for the Ohio State football team. Like the rest of the Buckeye faithful, this was a devastating loss for him.

Probably didn't help that Muschamp punked him publicly leading up to the game. The fact the Herbstreit didn't mention it or respond to it shows he was definitely bothered by it.

Herbstreit is a decent cover guy (for the college game), but he is pro Ohio State and this one hurt.

I enjoy the ESPN coaches room broadcast, too, if the right group does the telecast. Last year ESPN selected Jimbo and his staff for the NCG and it was pretty bad.

.. they were great along with Gary Patterson and Cutcliffe when they did it. Seems like I heard they are doing again this year, with Jimbo being involved, but it's not listed on the ESPN watch lineup. If they do it, I hope it's with someone other than Jimbo.
