Idk, I am with K9. Kirby's OCs, Coley and Chaney would be awful trying to even run innocent RPOs.

Maybe put him in the game during Frommpocalypse 1.0 in Baton Rouge. That sent a pretty clear message on just how bad Fromm could frick up and still keep the job.

I don’t disagree, honestly. I wanted him in after the first half of the Florida game too,

Here’s my devil’s advocate response: we put him in against LSU and he fails big time. Then the narrative could be that we put him in without a solid chance to succeed.

I don’t know what the right answer is here. I don’t know if putting him in during various games last year keeps him here. I imagine he’s gone unless we tell him he starts this year, which we wouldn’t do.

And they have possibly the best QB in the country.

Oklahoma fans will disagree with you on that.

I said possibly. He is on a short list with Hurts, Tua and Burrow right now.

Hurts is fine, but he’s not great passing the ball.

Tua is the best QB in the country.

Tua shite his pants on the biggest stage twice last year. I think Fields has the higher ceiling too.

Ok. I still think when it's all said and done Fields is going to be the best of all QBs playing CFB right now. I'll happily admit it.

My question at this point: How the frick does that help UGA? It seems to win a title you have to have an elite QB, and Fromm has proven that he can be that.

What is the disconnect, though?

There are elite playmakers on this O. These linemen have proven that they can be elite. However, nobody on the offensive side of the ball is playing to potential at this point. Even Swift isn't playing as good as expected. Why aren't they putting it together? Is it Coley? Is it Kirby? Is it just the outdated mindset?

The entire O laid an egg. It's more than just Jake. Fields doesn't solve that.

Kirby doesn't think it's him from the interviews this week and after the game. If he can't humble himself and admit publicly that he is part of the problem, then he won't get any better as a head coach.

Fromm has never proven that he can put the team on his back and win a game when nothing else is going well.

Kirby wanted a conservative game manager at QB instead of a playmaker. Here we are.

Gone are the days when you could have a game manager and win a title with conservative, pedestrian offense. Bama did it back when they were physically better than everyone they played by a long shot. Look at Clemson's two national titles. Big time QBs. Bama won one with Tua. Another big time QB. OSU has a big time QB when they won it.

Just like the NFL. Trent Dilfer isn't winning a Super Bowl in 2019.

Exactly! He only got one because he had a good running game and one of the sickest defenses in NFL history. Hell, that's actually why Eli has two.

Could have given him a real chance at beating out Fromm on the field. Our coach was very conflicted. On one side he had a fan base, the media, and family pressure to play Fields. On the other side he had Fromm who he didn’t want to see possibly beaten on the field. His solution to try to placate both was to put him in sparingly and limit the playbook and let him handoff or tuck and run. He had zero intention of giving Fields the chance outshine Fromm. He knew what kind of shite storm that would of caused. So he played him so he could have dumbasses who think that he can do no wrong knight for him saying “he played him but he didn’t know the offense, blah, blah...” It was the worst mis-managed waste of talent I have ever seen due entirely to his stubbornness and emotional attachment to Fromm. Anybody that thinks that Fields improved ten fold in 8 months is a Disney Dawg in denial.

OSU won their last one with Cardale Jones. He's about as big time as Stetson.

Touche'! I don't know why I was thinking Dwayne Haskins. He was OSU's QB last year.

That dual threat QB on SC did a number on us. Huh..... those third downs would have been a lot easier to convert with a running threat. No way in hell Fromm beat Fields out for the job. Kirby just didn’t have the balls to make the move. No wonder Fields had an attitude. He knew the truth.
