It seems impossible to be this bad no matter who is running the AD. It's systemic stupidity.

BS... Our fans aren’t interested and are lazy. The right coach can change all that... Crean at least had fans interested his first 2 years.

I have only watched a few games this year - Auburn, Fl, & TN. Our interior D was getting killed vs Auburn and sounds like the case today. I'm surprised Crean doesn't try to get some interior post men from the JUCO ranks or maybe he does and there aren't any or they are not coming here. The positives I see are that our top 3 scorers are all under-classmen. It will be interesting to see if our new AD wants to go in a new direction after this year or next in hoops. IMO I think we need to stay the course for at last another year. Big concern I have with Crean is with his defensive coaching.

They had a ton of 3 point shots. They spread you out really good. They are a really good team.

UGA should be pretty good next year but they desperately need 2 big post guys to block, rebound, and take up space. Crean’s alleged strength was recruiting Centers that could do all that plus shoot. There is Zero evidence thus far that confirms he can get those players to UGA.

Lazy fans? They’ve put a shite product on the floor forever and you want fans to show up? Crean brought some excitement and they had better turnout. Give us something to actually fricking root for and we’ll show up. Go get a legit coach and give him the help and we can be good.

He was the best coach we've had in my lifetime, he wasn't known as an ace recruiter by my Lord the man could coach. It'd be laughable if it wasn't so sad how he was completely railroaded by our athletic department and the media for shite that is far, far, far less serious than dozens of programs today get away with without so much as a slap on the wrist. Harricks final team that was banned from postseason was legit final 4 caliber and they never even got the chance.

Who wants to play in a livestock auditorium? Yeah, I know they stopped the rodeo, but seriously, it’s a 50+ year old facility built to show livestock, among other purposes. If you want to get serious about basketball, then spend money on facilities.

We have been top a top 5 play in back to back games for getting dunked on.
Next year is a big recruiting year in Georgia. We are in play with none of them.
Our team is going to rotate to new faces next year since we have 32 castoffs who graduate.

It's frustrating. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Tennessee are all taking hoops seriously and built solid programs that compete for the SEC and make the tournament every year. Auburn was terrible for years. McGarity made a statement that all the sports needed to compete for championships every year. Crean is in year 3.

Exactly. Creans calling card is clearly recruiting and X’s and O’s Or development not so much. The problem is the excitement of having Tom crean is already over. with the lack of results the little bit of recruiting we had did build and we are back to getting under the radar kids who likely don’t develop under our leadership.
Recruiting is just momentum. And we have already lost ours so it’s just another scenario where it’s like - at what point is the lack of production enough to warrant another coaching search

Tom Crean should give Dwyane Wade a royalty check every time he gets paid. That 2003 Final Four run at Marquette is the only reason he keeps getting hired.

Seems like it needs to be philosophy shift. At least in appearance. UGA fans will come. They did when I was there and they did when Tubby was there. All the momentum from Tubby was lost with a bad hire and a cheap arse AD. We never really got it back. Harrick could have if he wasn't so sloppy and our AD and President were more concerned with smelling their own farts.

We have had bigtime fan support at the UGA program when Tubby was here and also when Harrick was here. I remember going to the Steg when we beat Florida in the final regular season game Harrick's last year. The place was electric; fans stormed the court after we won. The problem now is there is very little excitement around the program now. If we move on from Crean, who wants to come?
