I for one encourage Peter to continue to remind the haters and losers of which there were many about how wrong they were.

Part of the reason those people have changed their tune or gone into hiding is because we have people that we hold you accountable for the stupid shite you say.

We had to hear it all year about JT being better, kirby mismanagaing this and that, Stetson can't win. Luckily we won and the losers scattered like roaches, if we had lost this board would still be unreadable from the garbage takes.

Hopefully he has an injury free year.

It would be his first.

He has a great release and sees the field well, but has poor mechanics and mobility. There are a few guys that can get away with bad mechanics, but not many. If he works that out he will be in better shape. Yet, his injury history and other aspects will be an issue for him unless he has a few years of ball with no real interruptions in play.

He will have the OC he had his freshman year at USC. Maybe they will go to a dropback passing game and not run him often. He has rather gimpy legs.

You are probably looking at the mouthbreathers that post comments on AJC or facebook articles and extrapolating those tards out to be the bulk of the fanbase.

It isn't a significant majority, but quite a few on here were putting Stetson Bennett IV down all last year and into the NC game and after. JT Daniels had lots of potential when he came to UGA, but injuries plagued him and held him back. We can be thankful for SBIV because Carson Beck was not ready last year.

-during the season, people questioned stetson based on the data we had at the time, which was valid
-during the season, people pointed out our success being due to our otherworldly, best we've ever had defense rather than QB paly, which was valid
-during the season, we won a friggin title in part because of stetson going off and playing lights out when it matters most.

That was 3+ months ago. Nobody is still talking about JT vs Stetson. Some people may have said dumb things, but I'm pretty sure the natty quieted those people down. Nobody except peter is still even thinking about this anymore.

I don't know how valid it was, but I couldn't care less about discussing the team good or bad.

What I have no time for, and the problem I have with the internet fan base, is giving up on the team mid game. Argue the depth chart before and after games? Great. I love it.

DURING THE frickING GAMES, SUPPORT THE TEAM ON THE FIELD OR GTFO.

Eta: questioning a call or play is fair game. I'm speaking to "the sky is falling, it's over" losers in a 1 possession game.

I assure you, the Künt Nation will he back and in greater numbers the first time Stetson makes a mistake. They have not gone anywhere.

maybe they will, who knows. I know there is a segment of the population that calls to bench the QB (any QB, whoever it is) the first incompletion of the season and will rail on the OC the first time we go 3 and out. Whatever. That's 5 months away though, yet you seem to revel in stirring the pot now in the greatest offseason many of us have had in our lives. Just seems odd that you constantly want to keep that topic at the forefront when everyone else (on this board, idk whatever other boards you're apparently reading) has moved on.

We can agree to disagree on this aspect. Mark my words, they will be unbearable next season. Right here on this very website.

I don't disagree, I'm certain they'll be here too. But right now in the offseason you're the only unbearable one on the topic.

There are great arms and there are great QBs, and sometimes those aren't the same. SFBIV is a great QB with an average arm. JT's still a question mark with a great arm. I think he's very, very good, but only time will tell.

I think JT is probably better than Stetson in every area but in the run game and scramble game.

For a team that runs like UGA, that is a big deal.
For a team that wants to avoid mistakes like UGA, the scrambling is a big deal.

I dont think JT is leagues away from Stetson. They are pretty similar in their QB effectiveness. Stetson just gives Kendall Milton a little more breathing room.

Can we agree that JT going to WVa and not a higher tier school supports the QB decisions coach Smart made last year? Well, that and National Championship MVP and winning the Natty and stuff.

No, we can't. It'd be pure speculation.

What we can do is wish him well on his way out and thank him for his time here and then move on.

I totally wish him nothing but the best. When Stet won the MVP after the Natty, JT was one of the first players to hug him and congratulate him.

The best ability is availability. I really don't think the JT/Stet thing was more complicated than that.
