The offense doesn't have to be top 10 in the country to be an improvement over 2019 and land us in the Playoff. With the weapons around him, this kid can lead a much improved offense.

Also, with few exceptions every QB's stats are worse against the best defences. That's because they're the best defences.

To be fair I haven't looked at his highlights yet and our offense from this season mentally scarred me

If you finally see in to the darkness then I fear there is no more light left for the rest of us.

For context, he was down his top 2 WRs and Wake fans have said their OL is dog shite. He won't win the heisman but he is our best bet of what we can reasonably get.

No choice but to remain optimistic unless you want to hurt your liver. The QB position will be a huge question mark since we'll be breaking in someone new for the first time in a few years.

You never know what causes a QB's stats to be the way they are. Is it that they are bad or is it because they haven't had enough help to make them look better? Who knows, but we'll see in the fall.

It's going to be nice to have a QB with some mobility. We haven't had that in years.

I was until I watched his ‘19 highlights. Forget the opponents, he made throws and decisions that the majority of NFL QB’s cannot make.

I checked out a comparison of his stats vs Trevor Lawrence against same teams this season and they are pretty damn close. I think Newman had 2 more Int. Than Lawrence.....gotta remember the supporting players he had, vs what Lawrence had.

Good YT video of Neman

Watch the link above to see pretty much all types of throws from him, and a few runs.

Joe Burrow was a questionable transfer with some shitty stats.

Ain't nobody getting a Joe Burrow again anytime soon. But I think we are getting a damn good QB that will give UGA an edge it has needed for a while now.

Watching some highlight videos makes me want the Surratt kid to come to UGA too.

Literally the first thing I said watching his highlights. That kid is a stud. Hope he recovers well from his shoulder issue.

@MarkRicht

I have been watching Jamie Newman all season with the ACC network. Georgia just landed a great one! I predict he will be the best quarterback in the SEC! Go Dawgs!

Feel like this will be met with mixed emotions

Eh, Richt was generally pretty great at identifying and developing QB talent. I don't think he's sunshine pumping.

Sudden thoughts about Cam Newton, Deshaun Watson, and Trevor Lawrence come to mind
