Well, damn.
Don't know if he'll ever end up being a long term starter at the next level, but I'll definitely be rooting for him. He gave his all during one of the program's best 3 year stretches in school history.

Newman is not the answer, he played in a shotgun spread system in the gosh darn ACC against bad defenses in low pressure situations.

So what does this say about his meeting with coach Smart ? Maybe smart said he isn't making any changes to scheme or philosophy?

Kirby probably admitted to him that he picked the wrong qb in 2018, and Fromm cried all the way to the 4th round.

so much for Fromm's "good ole Georgia boy" bull crap. He jumped ship after one off year, quit on his team and quit on his state. Hell, Justin Herbert came back for his senior year cause he loves Oregon and wanted to prove something. Can't respect Fromm after this. It's one thing to leave playing your A-Game but he was running on fumes at the end.

I don't think there was any other reasonable choice. Maybe Jake will go in the first couple of rounds and eventually get some NFL snaps.

Newman is not the answer.... the guy went 6-14 for 41 yards against Clemson and threw two picks...

Because NFL scouts told him he needs to play in a offense with more progressions and combination route concepts. He needs to prove he can go past 1 read then jump ball to Sagw Surett like he did this past season.
