Or, do you think it’s just Charles taking part in the time-honored tradition of UGA-Auburn trash talking?

I just read an article saying he was coming under fire for his comments and it just struck me as ridiculous. Luckily, Barkley is the kind of dude who simply does not give a frick about political correctness.

Well, knowing what he said would help.

It’s no different than saying folks from Bama have intra-family sexual relations. We know a lot do, but it doesn’t mean they all do. We all know it is just jokes and the few people from Bama who are not having sex with a family member or step family member certainly don’t get offended by this line of jokes.

Not really. Barkley is one of the most level-headed TV personalities out there and he is entitled to his opinion

I assume he was just ribbing UGA.

People are too thin-skinned. Very little truly offends me, and I don't expect people to change or to be punished just because I'm offended. Bunch of snowflakes that expect to never be offended these days.

Trash talking rivals is an SEC tradition. I’m good with it.

If pro basketball went bankrupt 7 years ago or if it was the biggest sport on earth, I wouldn't even notice or care.

I literally would take a whiznot or dawgfan36945q95634's oppinion more seriously than from someone who bounces a basketball

I'm not at all offended by it, but I do think it's stupid. If there's anything to rip UGA about, it's definitely not the looks of our women.

If they are, they're a pussy. The comment was a clever one liner and that's just Barkley being himself.

I think he takes occasional jabs at Georgia to mess with Ernie Johnson Jr. Chuck has sang the UGA fight song on air before after UGA beat Auburn one year. It's all in good fun.

I thought it was funny when I read the headline, knowing he's an aubie. It was misogynistic but not for the reasons they think. It's because toxic masculinity led to the rivalry which spawned the statement. Not the statement itself.

They are mad he compared women to bulldogs, which is misogynistic. The real misogyny is the systemic toxic masculinity that led to a rivalry in which someone would say that about their opponent.

It was a joke.

Agreed. It has 100% to do with Ernie. If Ernie was off that day, it wouldnt have been said.

No, it's just good old fashioned Auburn vs Georgia banter. Love Barkley. One of very few blacks who actually tell like it is relative to the political spectrum.

Anyone who uses these terms seriously is too stupid to walk and chew gum at the same time.

I think we all need to reject the toxic masculinity that has caused college football to become a cesspool of the uninteligensia*. We need to celebrate our differences whilst conforming our thoughts. If Vandy lets a girl kicker play, she and they are heroes and shall be held in the highest regard. If Auburn wants to be the perennial little brother who lashes out, we should celebrate their choice. If Bama fans want to have sexual relations with their close kin, we should celebrate their brave choice to be who they are... and if UGA peeps want to have relations with the beautiful women of Athens, it is their right, as long as all parties consent and videos are not shared. This is America dammit.
