Free concessions are nice.
No lines are nice.
Seat backs are nice.

Just win baby. I dont need the details. My family, work, and faith have no changes depending upon a health report that is shared or not shared.

We probably wont agree.

Why though? Just general interest in the program or something else... I can tell you personally, that as much as I'd like to know, it doesn't change my excitement about games, my enjoyment of wins, etc... If Kirby were playing these games and it felt like it was detrimental to the team, I'd say that's something to latch on to and correct, but it doesn't seem to have any negative consequences on the game outcomes at this point. To meansonny's point... just win. Be excited when players do come back, but no reason to stress about it as a fan.

My guess would be that they want to bet on the games. A lot of people don't realize that Kirby could care less if fans want to make a bet. He is going to do whatever it takes to give Georgia any small advantage we can get.

Gee IDK, it would kind of nice to know who exactly is gonna be playing on a particular Saturday. A walk on? Returning starter? A projected starter?

I don't think it's too much to ask to get at least a one deep depth chart the day or the day before the game.It was pretty much a common thing back in the day.Hell, the AJC use to publish a 2 deep depth chart the day before a game and it was usually solid information.

I suppose it's a thing these days but it's still unbelievably frustrating

That effects how you watch the game on tv? Or in person?

The amount of information that we do have is 1000 times more than 40 years ago.

Im sure you will survive your frustrations.

It does ...kind of obvious.

There was a published 2 deep depth chart the day of or the day before a game 10+ years ago and those listed actually played and or started.

Please tell me where that same, legitimate information is available today.

But this isn't an answer. Legitimately, I'm asking you *why*. What does that information do to enhance your experience as a fan? I'm not criticizing, just asking.

There are a lot of things that are different today from 15-20 years ago.

As far as a 1 deep depth chart, what good would that really do you? We rotate heavily across the front 7, so who "starts" doesn't really give you an idea of snap distribution. Similarly at WR/RB and even CB this season.

We know TE right now is generally Bowers + Fitzpatrick until DW0 is healthy.

Would knowing our 5 starting OL change how you pre-gamed? Knowing our starting QB doesn't change my expectations for W/L against most of the remainder of our schedule (maybe not any), though it might change my impression on performance against the spread.

I just think it's not worth the mental "calories" to worry about or get frustrated about not knowing who is starting in advance of a game. At least not in the context of what we're dealing with right now... But to each their own.

I like this term. I am about as lean as it comes when discussing "mental calories". I'm a lean, mean mental calorie machine. If I get any leaner my wife might use me as a door stop.

You mean to tell me that you prefer Mark Richt's last 5 years to Kirby Smart?

I reference media 40 years ago and you reply with what Mark Richt did 10 years ago. 10 years ago, i remember a lot of things Mark Richt did that i didnt like.

My money is on Max Fried.
But like the dawgs, it is still unannounced.

Looks like Rian Davis is out for the season. Starting to see that injury bug spreading too. I know it always seems like we take the brunt of it with all the injuries, but Florida just lost their best defensive player for the season as well.

I’m thinking Stetson. But, let’s say it’s 10-7 at the half and Stetson has a turnover then we will see JT. In all honesty we don’t need JT until Auburn, but the last thing we need is a rusty JT going into Jordan-Hare.

I think JT plays against vandy.
We want a warmup before arkie.

I thought we would get JT in the game last saturday. For some reason, we handle him with extra gentle kid gloves.

I really had high hopes for Davis. Obviously it's not over for him, but I haven't heard much from him since he has gotten here.

Regardless of who plays…it’s the SEC home opener in prime time against a team who beat us last time they came to town. Kirby will have those guys jacked tomorrow night. All the healthy and available players will be ready.

Ventrell Miller. Maybe I should have said one of their best defensive players. Linebacker who led the team in tackles last year and was already leading the team in tackles this year. Torn biceps.
