Not at all out of confidence but simply a need to plan..looked at rooms in Indy anywhere near downtown and they are sold out. Guessing it’s all travel agencies and package groups bc no way any schools are booking that many yet.
Travel to Indy 4-5x a year and rates that are available even out od downtown are ridiculous for Indy in the damn mid of winter.
Also Delta has flights just in the window jacked up 400%.

Had some nice rooms booked in South Beach a few years back lol. Damn that year.
Going to see if I can figure out who is holding the blocks.
Guessing Delta will open some more flights.
Basically an 8 hour drive from Atl.
Also average high in Indy in January is 34 degrees.

Louisville and Cincy are both less than 2 hours. I’d fly into Louisville and stay at the Omni and drink Bourbon for a few days and then drive up on Game day .

The luxury for me is it's our corporate HQ so I have a good bit of friends who live in Indy. Room's not the issue. Flights from CLT and tix on the other hand...

We’ve discussed options..at some point, losing all the experience and adding a bunch of extra travel logistics takes away from the fun.
Especially after the game.
Reality is none of those rooms are actually booked by end user and Delta will only be screwing themselves if they don’t open flights.
Can fly to Louisville in same window for $120 round trip.

It isn’t a bad drive. Preference would be to stay very close and avoid driving at all while we get our drink on.

The Down Town JW is booked, but there seem to be plenty of rooms outside of down town. I’d assume some will open up after the first round of the playoffs.

Yep..saw the ones out on the edges away from downtown.
May hold one of those south and just drive.
$400 for a Residence Inn 20 miles away.
Kinda of in a screw Indy mood at the moment. Maybe it’s buzz wearing off.

Fly to Cincinnati and rent a car. About a 2 hour drive.

Tons of options if just going to the game is the plan.
Cincinnati and Louisville flights are cheap. By the time you deal with that and rental car, might as well just drive. Not much different.
Should just get all the Dawgs to pick a nearby city and flood it instead of Indy.

You waited way too long. Rooms have been sold out for weeks, if not a couple months. I bought tickets, booked a room near the airport and another about 40 minutes south of Indy on I-65 if we decide to drive it (which we probably will given the airline prices). Also bought two days worth of parking next to the convention center which is right next to Lucas Oil. Everything is fully able to be canceled right up until the day before and of course, tickets can be sold if needed. These sorts of situations are things you can’t wait on for long.
