People are going to look back at 2017 in the state of Georgia as the beginning of a massive debt crisis

I've spent more than my fair share on UGA football this year (and over the decades past) but some of the money I've seen people dolling out for this season (ND, Rose Bowl, usual Jax trip, etc) is just absurd. Makes me wodner if we will still have a strong contingent in Baton Rouge next october or if everyone will be spent (literally)

Vandy and samford are the only games I'll miss this year. I plan to eat ramen for lunch and dinner for the next ooooh 6 months or so.

Kicked it around but honestly, the Rose Bowl trip was so amazing that I will enjoy this one from my media room. Cooking a prime filet and drinking Duvel.

I ordered $200 of Prime Dry Aged Beef from Flannery's Beef out in California....It will be so worth it to celebrate the occasion.

1980. My future wife and I went to the Sugar Bowl. I'm thinking $250 each. Bus ride, Sleep Inn in Algiers, eating Taykee-Outee. Bought a bunch of Coors and consumed it before we reached Mississippi.

I was just about to pull the trigger until I heard that you needed to be in Atlanta by 2:00 if you really wanted to make it to your seat by kickoff. I can’t leave Columbia until noon at the earliest. Instead I’m meeting some buddies in Athens, having a private dinner at Catch 22, reserved seating at Allgood, and I’ll party like I’m 21 again win or lose.

Glad you're going to make it tween!

I had always swore Id go if they made it.....and if they'd have pulled it off back before the kids when we had a dual income ....I'd have pulled the trigger. We just don't have the disposable cash we once had.

I'm getting cheap in my old age.

WG what's you estimate just on ticket prices this year? Never mind food, transport and accommodations.

We've come a long way since South Bend.

The news. With the poor weather, everyone coming in for the CFP, and then shutting down roads for the presidential motorcade, they said that you should plan to be in Atlanta (not at the stadium) by 2. Traffic is apparently going to be a massive bitch.

2? Yeesh. Luckily I work close to the city, thinking about taking Marta in even though leaving on MARTA will be a disaster

There's a lot of discussion about expanding the playoff to 8 teams or more.......imagine 3-4 weekends like the last 2 on the pocket book.......

If I were still in driving distance of Atlanta $2k would've been acceptable but $1200 for airfare on 7 days notice has more at home on the reclusive near....I'm sick about it but Pasadena was a once in a lifetime opportunity......we ought to be in a national title game at least a few more times in the next 25 years.

I wish I could be there but between the SEC championship game and the Rose Bowl I'm $8k into UGA football for the month......

Y'all be loud....it matters.....
