Any guesses? CBS gets first pick right? I'd like game 2 of a double header on the eyeball network.

Would hope for a nightcap, but I could see us getting the 2013 LSU-UGA treatment at 3:30 which isn't awful. Honestly no way to know; depends on when the Network thinks it will draw the most eyeballs.

At some point ESPN can claim games. I'm not sure how that works though.

CBS still gets tier 1 games, I believe. It'd undoubtedly be a CBS call with a high probability for College Gameday

likely CBS 3:30 unless ESPN swoops in for Gameday and a night game

ETA: Or a combo of 3:30 CBS and Gameday

I don't see many feasible ways it's not the 3:30 CBS. Bama will be 3-1 absolute worst case, but more than likely 4-0. Same thing to be said for us. Even if both teams are 3-1, I doubt CBS would pick UF/OM, Miz/SC, or UT/Ark over us. It's just too infrequent/intriguing of a matchup...they know all the eyeballs will be on that game.

The only way it's not 3:30 IMO is if that's 1 of CBS's 2 doubleheader days and it's an odd time slot or if ESPN swoops in (I'm not even sure if they still have the power to do so?) and takes 1st pick on it.

It'll be interesting to see who wins the coverage battle on that one. CBS found themselves on the outside looking in on Bama's games last year, since they had the Tide in 4 games, and hit their cap. That's why they missed on the Iron Bowl. They figured that the LSU game would be closer, I guess. They'll sit on one set of dibs for the IB for sure.

ESPN can't really touch it unless CBS passes on it. Only other SEC games they could possibly consider would be Arky-UTk which would likely just form a double header for the day.

As for Gameday, UGA-Bama is a virtual lock considering the only other big games that weekend are Texas at TCU and Notre Dame at Clemson

I thought there was a stipulation in the TV contract that said ESPN/ABC could choose maybe 1 or 2 first.

Back in the day it used to be where ESPN had a 1 time only (per season) trump card where they could take first pick (thus the reason the 02 WLOCP was at night). With the SECN coming into play and time moving on, I have no clue if that still exists.

If not, it kinda sucks we will never see the best teams in the SEC under the lights. It's better than Noon but I don't like 3:30

I guess I don't mind. 3:30 CBS just kinda "feels" like a big SEC game. Also there is once a year where they'll do a doubleheader includign a night slot, so there's that.

Plus from a selfish POV, I like 3:30 because it gives me time to go home after instead of having ot spend the night.

It is an actual license plate, but not mine. It's available thru the DMV if you want it... You just have to pay extra since it's a custom tag. I created it online thru CA DMV and even considered purchasing it for my car, but I decided to renew to keep my Georgia license plate.

I'm presently in Furnace Creek. I've recently submitted my notice for resignation though... I'm moving back east to Athens for probably another year and then gonna look at moving to North Carolina (Asheville).

Have you checked the SoCal Dawgs alumni group? It's pretty active from what I hear. They're hosting a UGA event in a week or so:

And their facebook page has nearly 700 members.

... lotta solid games that day tho, big games for UGA, SCe, Mizzou & UT in the East. UF & UT could easily lose & either SCe or Mizzou will lose. A UGA win over UA could equal a 2 game swing on as many as 3 East teams... BIG...BIG game ...

How did a Georgia Dawg end up out there in the Desert? It's a dry heat!

I haven't been to the Official UGA stuff in LA but have been to watch games up there once or twice. They used to meet up near UCLA which I am cool with. As long as we steer clear of the U of Spoiled Children fans I'm cool...

Unfortunately SC is the only real College Football Experience out here...UCLA doesn't count because their Stadium is 20 miles (over an hour in LA Traffic) from Campus. Rose Bowl is a fun scene though...Berkeley is amazing however but their team sucks.
