If we let Bowers put the O on his back, this game will be a blow out. No one on Bama's team matches up with him.

Giggled really hard when an Alabama fan on tRant said they'd just cover up Washington with a LB with some help from a DB to mitigate his size advantage.

Don't think they thought through what that would do for 1. Bowers (if he's on the field, too) and 2. The WRs in general if you're wasting a LB AND a DB to guard our 2nd best receiving TE

You sound miserable regardless of who you support.

We are the #1 team in the country, playing Bama in the SECCG tomorrow, likely in the playoffs regardless of the outcome tomorrow…..and you post this shite

We all know JT is much much more talented than Scoutie Stetson. Winning or losing tomorrow doesn’t change that

There are no Bennett haters BTW, just those that thought the more talented QB should have been playing the last 5 weeks….nothing that happens tomorrow will change that. Win or lose.

Now, try to enjoy the next 6 weeks man

Let your Stetson hate flow. The day is your’s!

Harvard and Yale had never been to Pierce County to do recruiting,” Royer noted. “They both showed up the same day. I had never seen the principal at the time ever come to football practice [until then].”

But Harvard wasn’t part of The Plan.

Stetson wanted to play for the University of Georgia. Even if it meant walking on.

The kind of people who hate Bennett are the kind of people who would have idolized Filipe Franks if he was at UGA.

The people of Pierce County and Southeast Georgia have seen the message boards.

“I've often wanted to get on and give my fair share of trash talking back at them,” Royer (Stet's high school coach) said with a wry smile. “You know, they really don't understand the work ethic that has been driven into these young men that are coming from here.”

“I will say, as a mama, it’s really humbling to learn from your child,” Denise reflected. “That’s what I did. I learned how to behave from my son, throughout this. That was unbelievably humbling. He handled it much better than I – I’m not that person. He is.”

“Five weeks earlier, they tell me he is fifth on the depth chart. And, you know, he didn't believe it. I didn't believe it,” Stet's dad said.

“When he came in to the game, I literally put my hands over my head and I was like, ‘Thank You, Lord.’ For the opportunity for him to have his dream. A legitimate chance to win a football game for the University of Georgia.”

"You know, hard work's undefeated. And it allows, little boys, little girls to dream -- 'hey, I want to do this.' And so that's what it's for"

I was a JT fan to start the season (and still am), and I was disappointed that he wasn't able to get that starting spot back, but we've been rolling with Bennett and he's got command of the offense right now. He's doing what he needs to do to score points, and ultimately win games, and that's about all anyone can (or should) ask for. He's a DGD and I'm hoping he lights up Alabama tomorrow.

The real question is: If Stetson were to get pulled tomorrow, would you secretly hope for JT to fail?

Nailed it.

95% of the fan base knows Daniels is the more talented QB and we know what Monken's plan for the offense was going into the season. It didn't work out with Daniels' injuries. Maybe the loss of some of the key WR's early on played a role too. So we evolved to a somewhat different offense. But with Bennett riding the coat tails of Brock Bowers and others, an OL that's top three nationally in pass pro, and a dominating defense, we've gotten to 12-0. Hopefully headed for 13-0...14-0...15-0.

Meanwhile, this guy's focus is his personal obsession with Bennett. Strange indeed.

Continuity Kirby. But Daniels did get to run three handoffs against Tech.

Hopefully there won't be a situation where he's forced to come in.

Sound familiar??

During Stetson’s freshman year of HS, the Bears had future UCF Knight Tyler Harris under-center. There was also another quarterback in Stetson’s class: JaMar Lincoln, a gifted athlete with multiple family members who had played in the NFL.

Lincoln fractured a bone in his thumb,” Pender recalled. “Stetson finished out that game and we won an exciting game in overtime, and the very following week was Stetson’s first week as a starter against Tattnall County. And, in the first half, there’s Stet, up to four touchdown passes. From that point on, that’s what it was, every week. It was the same over and over and over.

“And by the time Lincoln came back from the broken thumb, we moved him to defensive back and the rest is history.”

"I want to say something about my quarterback—Stetson Bennett, the mailman. Y’all call him the weak point in our offense. I read all y’alls stuff; I know I’m not supposed to, but one thing about Stetson, he works; he’s not worried about nobody. He’s a blue-collar guy.”

Whomever Peter Buck is, he thinks he’s a better football coach than Kirby.

If you're going to make this argument, then you've also got to admit Daniels success was on the coattails of Pickens last year. Not denying our OL hasn't been playing lights out either, but part of the reason for the lack of sacks allowed by this OL is Stet's ability to scramble from the pocket which JT is not as good at. Both players have pros and cons. Let's just hope no matter what, that one of them brings us home the W.

I don't think any UGA fan secretly hopes any player fails. That's just absurd.

You left off the top reason: Our defense this season is possibly best in a generation. That might just be the biggest coat tail of all for a QB on this team.

The argument that Daniels and Bennett are basically the same talent level - just different - will be shown to be true or not at a later time, when we see their draft status and where they go from there.

In the meantime, Alabama can talk about heart and persistence but the facts are the facts...they've given up 35 sacks, they are thin at RB, and their defense is way off from the last few years.

Every chain has a weakest link. If it isn’t Stetson, then Nolan is calling out the offensive line.

So, you think Smart doesn't know what he is doing? Because if that is your thoughts, then that is what you are saying. Kirby doesn't know what he is doing and you know better.

I guess I will never understand why we pay coaches $6-9 million a year when we have better coaches right here on the board. All Georgia has to do is ask the Rant and we would put the correct players on the field, and hire the correct coaches. (Obviously we would hire the coaches who do what we want them to do.)
