With the Eagles. Heckuva time to debut. Best of luck to the young man

He strikes me as the type of guy thta should not thrive in the NFL but does. A player that does not have the speed, size or whatever to do well, but has the heart and determination to do well.
I mean, how big was Tiki Barber?
Some people are just able to defy the odds.

Game’s tomorrow but I’m hopeful he makes some plays. Go birds!

Tiki Barber was pretty explosive.
Size isn’t the issue for Holyfield.

Isn't he almost 220 pounds? I thought I remember him being listed at 217.

I get that. My point is that Holyfied has the size but maybe not the speed some would want for a NFL RB. In other words he is not a prototypical back, but it seems like he has intangibles....much like Tiko Barber. barber, iirc, was tiny. (Although I looked him up and Wiki had him listed at 5'10". I could have sworn he was closer to 5'7"....but old and memory, so)

I think that Holyfield will have a good career. Too much emphasis is put on speed. It would be awesome to see the Eagles beat the Seahawks tomorrow.

Holyfield outshining lynch would be great. Old bruiser vs new bruiser

I think Zeus will have similar career at UGA.They are pretty similar in body type and running style.
Holyfield seemed like more of a me first guy AT UGA.I still remember him taking himself out of the Texas game after he passed the 1,000 yard mark...looked like it was the only thing he cared about.

How's that? At one point Holyfield was looking like he was never gonna see the field with the backs we had ahead of him, plus he got into trouble before the season had started a few years ago, which made things worse for him. If he was a "me first" kinda guy he could have easily left to play elsewhere. Remember we had Chubb, Sony, Swift, and Herrian, and then add Zamir to that list. DGD IMO

Did you read my post? Not a "me first" guy when you pull yourself out of game once you've reached your own personal goal? And your team is losing?

And waste a year of eligibility? Nah,he wanted to get paid ASAP and he took the quickest path possible.
I hope he does well but his decision obviously didn't pay off on draft day.

I agree. My post was not meant to belittle Holyfield. On the contrary. It was supposed to say he has heart to overcome what some people might consider obstacles.

It’s bad enough we had to lose to the cocks this season but now that dumb POS Clowney gets away with that bs hit and I’m having deja vu.

Holyfield is slowwwwwww. Hitting the hole and getting to the second level is an entirely different level of speed in the NFL than in college. He ran something like a 4.92 at the Combine.
