They changed it just after the “Bush Push” in 2005 I believe

That may have been when they disallowed it, I'm saying when did they go back to allowing it?

I know you see it happen organically a lot (I think our OL all but carried a receiver into the end zone from 10 yards out against Vandy last year) but this was the first time I’d seen a designed play with a lineman lined up behind the QB with the sole purpose of bulldozing the player (not just the ball) into the end zone

No I think they began allowing it after that. The Bush Push was an illegal play when it happened but I thought they changed the rule shortly after to make it fair for all teams

I've seen it a lot though. Usually they have the OL right behind the qb but still have a rb a few yards deep in case the ball squirts out.

Legally, they changed it a couple of years ago. I remember when Leinhart for USC was pushed forward against ND for the win and it was a big deal since it was illegal.

Yeah, way too much optimism for lineman who was forced to play 2 positions as a true freshman.

I'm glad you agree.

I bleed red and black. But I don't attribute greatness on a player because he sees the field as a true freshman. That isn't an accomplishment.

Greatness is earned by imposing will on opponents. This is football. Participation trophies won't be handed out.

Yes,I know that's a bit much for the Chaney playbook but it just MIGHT have worked.

I have an uneasy feeling that sometime in early October we might be wishing we had Chaney calling plays for us. I hope not, but still ...

We'll see.I thought he was very good at times designing a game plan but if plan "A" didn't work out he often didn't have a plan "B" unless he got a rematch (Auburn in '17) I will say he had CTG's number.UT and UF is gonna pretty get interesting IMO

He's one of 81 players on the Rimington Award Watch List?

Well dang. I hope he beats out those other 80 guys and 40 guys who didn't make the list.

They ought to make the rugby shite a penalty again...someone is going to get bad hurt. As long as it is allowed though just line up rugby style and move the ball 36 and 1/16th of an inch for fricks sake. That whole series was simply unimaginable...and didn't we have another one in another game? Not 7 plays but 4??? We should have at least had about 4 people hit the Florida DE...just one time....but we NEVER laid a hat on him!

This should solve those short yardage situations. LT, LG and RT. The RG isnt on this list because there is a battle between 2 former 5*s and Big Ben Cleveland

So what there are 80 centers on the list

Kindley has become a favorite of mine because I keep catching him following the play to the end and looking for someone else to block.
