I mean I suppose that all depends on your definition of fine, and the concept of him being “fine” in so far as it hinders or helps our offense as a whole. I don’t expect much deep analysis from you though. You’re a perfectly fine milqetoast poster on the MSB atl thrads but a Braves UGA Steeler fan with some horrible baseball takes isn’t the guy who is gonna calm me fears when he says Beck is fine

I actually watch the game w/an unbiased eye and know how to break down film.

I don't own you or anyone else better takes. Quit whining.

Your posts always read like you're having a stroke.

We desperately need Ladd. Idk what the frick is wrong with the offense Beck is supposed to be only playing because he can let it ride deep on time, read correctly, and with accuracy. We have more athletic guys behind him to operate a short pass, running focused and RPO offense that also can maximize our TE

We had 458 yards of offense vs USC and Had the ball for 15 more minutes than USC. Won by double digits and missed two field goals.
Our QB has a 73% completion percentage and averages 8.8 yards per completion.
We also started running the ball better with 30 back last game.

Other than cleaning up some blocking issues, penalties in red zone and our kicker, what in the good frick are we doing wrong? Why do so many people want to see us air it out when we had 29 first downs in the game? 12 more than USC.
Think about it. 29 first downs, 458 yards of offense, 73% completions, 8.8 yard average. Those are elite numbers. Would you give that up so you can see us throw more low % pass plays? It’s like a woman explaining to me how to fish.

I have changed my mind on Beck/Bobo, especially after watching Brooks Austin's videos. We will be fine.

Not winning by 3 TDs at halftime. Duh. First halves obviously count more than second halves.

Out of curiosity...what would Beck need to do to be considered fine and not a problem?

I am curious for anyone to answer this.

Stet won two national championships and it wasn't good enough...

It'd be interesting to see how many passes Beck has thrown 20-plus yards past the line of scrimmage relative to Bennett's first 3 games of last season.

Luckily for you, Tyler at the Glory UGA podcast has already done this work. I’m at work, so I don’t have the exact numbers on yardage, but Beck is 15-25 on throws of more than 20 yards for over 300 yards and a TD.
Stet, through 3 games was 17-30 for around 400 yards and 3 TDS.

Not a lot of difference, especially when we consider that Stet had a mostly healthy backfield, two NFL tackles and a WR group that was much better at blocking on the perimeter.

Beck is NOT the problem, no matter how much some of you want him to be. The OL/banged up RB room and the average to bad WR blocking out wide are the problem.

Oh…and Stet had a generational unicorn TE who could be an extra OT on one play and a giant, terrifying pass-catching gazelle on the next.

We only lack a dozen or so Uncle frickers to be a full fledged Bama fanbase.

My concern is that needing to make that many first downs and have that much TOP to score 24 points isn’t great. The lack of explosive plays puts a lot of pressure on our own discipline and execution to score touchdowns.

If we’re trying to make a whole bunch of TDs on drives with 6-7 first downs, we’re asking for trouble imo.

You do realize that the offense is developing as we speak.

1st year QB.
Most talented X receiver is coming off of a Mike Leach offense.
Most talented slot receiver has 3 starts with a read based offense.
Our best WR is on IR with back issues.
Our best TE is playing with groin issues.
Our top 2 RBs have been hurt (just got 1 back and lost the other on Saturday with an MCL).
RSFr LT is getting up to speed and his backup has been hurt (lost opportunity to pull him aside for mid-game adjustments).

The explosives are coming.
But our QB is extremely cautious with protecting the football. He is learning about risk/reward on film. It is coming.

Yes. I’m commenting on a developing football team.

We are going to see more shots to RaRa as he develops.
We will see shots to Ladd when he gets back.

I was hoping that we would be connecting more with the Smiths (Arian and CJ) downfield.
I'm not sure where the trust factor is with them right now.

With the deep ball, those intermediates should get better and better (Bowers, Lovett, Rosemy-Jacksaint, and even our tailbacks Bell/Jones).

That is not a thing. When you have a great defense and you can control the football like we did, you will win. The cumulative affect on what that does to a defense wins games. Especially if you get some 3 and outs on defense. Our offense scored 3 TDs in the second half. In the 3rd Quarter we ran 27 plays and USC ran 9 on 2 possessions. Why would we “need” to be explosive if we kept the football on offense, didn’t turn it over, and flat out ground USCs defense?
Again, there were a few key missed blocks, a couple of key penalties that hurt red zone drives and 2 missed FGs.

We had 3 drives in the 4th Quarter. One was 8 plays and put the game out of reach. The next 2 were clock killers up by 2 scores. No turnovers. Shifted the field each time.

That’s great and all but eventually we’re going to play someone a lot better who the defense can’t control like USCe.

Our offense controlled how many possessions their offense got as well. When we play a different team, we will have a different strategy. I know this because our coach won us 2 Nattys in a row.

I swear, it’s like our fanbase is married to a hot gal who is a Doctor, a great cook, likes fishing and still blows them once a week, but they would rather have the whore stripper from the Cheetah because she is more explosive.

Im not even saying anyone in this thread is wrong or unreasonable and I’m correct. It’s a feel and look/eye test thing with Beck for me. He also hasn’t gotten very good OL play to be fair and we are injured at some key weapons for him.

To me so far he just doesn’t “look” the part. I know that isn’t scientific or anything but I’m sure many have that feeling. Stetson almost every single time he stepped on the field for the red and black looked the part of a man on a mission to kill. Idk how to explain it better than that maybe someone else can.

Lol at calling yourself an Atl/UGA fan and being a Steelers fan. I’m sure you had a good time watching those early Big Ben team’s dominance though and just couldn’t stomach not having one favorite team not be elite.

Agree to disagree.
I see it completely the opposite.

And you could be completely right I freely admit this. It’s entirely possible my view stems from my preconceived notions of what he was “supposed” to look like
