Yes, let's conveniently ignore that Daniels' original injury this season occurred in pre-season practice. He was clearly not 100% in that game and never has been this season. If he is now, I don't know...but there is a reason why the staff had prepped and planned around Daniels as the QB this season.

I feel that this whole JT isn't actually healthy thing is just people trying to rationalize why he is not playing because the alternative that Kirby thinks Stet is just better is hard for anyone to wrap their head around.

Maybe...except that from latter part of last season through pre-season, Daniels was the plan. It's a little hard to believe that Bennett simply became so great that Kirby now feels he's better than a 100% healthy and prepped Daniels. So yeah, easier to think that he's not 100% healthy and/or he just missed too much time to make a change going into this game.

Not to muddy the waters on the Qb thing. Real question.

Is there a scenario where JT got fed up and has already made it clear his plans to transfer and as a result of that is not getting on the field?

This seems unlikely. Assuming he's going to play another year, I'm not sure why he would transfer someplace else unless he has a reason to believe he will have no shot to start next year. (Though if that's the situation, he definitely should leave).

But even if that was the situation, if he was willing to play and not on bad terms with the staff, I doubt they would keep him on the bench for spite.

Unlikely, I do not think JT transfers. I do not know if he will stay, if he does it would be to increase his draft stock. But I do feel if Stetson starts next season there may be a riot from UGA fans. We have seen this movie and we know how it ends.

I think Bennett turns 24 ahead of next season. Does he really want to be graduated and 24-25 years old and still hanging on at UGA? I hope not...it's time to move on and keep the pipeline going with Daniels (if he's here), Vandagriff, and Stockton.

Bennett coming back and Smart pulling the Fromm/Fields situation again means more 5-stars transferring.

Agreed. Move on for the next class. I hope he does this.

I have actually read where people said do you think stet will return or go into the draft?

Just look at them like...

Can anyone explain to me why our elite DL could not get to their QB at all? Auburn sacked him like what, 7 times?

Their OL played more elite and their Heisman QB has a .3 second release time…..

Your best ability is availability. If you are constantly "hurt", who cares how good you are?

It’s my belief, with very rose colored glasses on, that we went in not changing our original gamelan we’ve had all year, and after they went up 17-10 and it looked inevitable they’d be in the playoffs even if we did come back to beat them, we decided to give them zero game tape for what the rematch would look like. Otherwise there’s no way to believe the Kirby mantra of adjusting to our opponents weakness. The slight heat on Bryce in the second half was to just show our boys we could make him uncomfortable in the CFP championship game. Again, very rose colored.

In summary ..

Stet blew it with two bush league interceptions on second downs in scoring territory.

Nolan made a high school mistake in trying to pick up a fumble. This was essentially a game changing turnover.

Our secondary isn’t and never was “elite”.

Our defensive game plan failed.

Hope they get a chance to make it right.

Doubtful...Kirby said "we're not going to be dictated to". That tells me he was going to stubbornly play "our game not theirs" and he possibly didn't make necessary adjustments.

Saban lives rent free in Kirby's head. They threw in the towel in the last half of the 4th too.

It was evident the Bama OL got loads of locker room material from the media all week and were out to prove something and they did.

Our vaunted D got crushed and the secondary was exposed. We can't handle a combo of elite QB+elite WR corps when the OL is holding their own.

Ok, so your saying their OL really stepped up their game last night and their QB increased his release time? I’m trying to bridge the gap between their game against Auburn and our game. That’s all.

no

Take 80 kids that are 4 and 5 star athletes...tell them all week how bad they are and don't deserve a playoff spot if they lose.

There is a reason that Saban has beaten 8, #1 teams in his career (more than double any other coach ever)

I think the fact that he was never even holding a helmet indicates that he's not fine. He went in against Tech and handed off three times...that was it.

But even if he were fine now, it's been so long since he's been repping with 1's and playing significant minutes in games..

His mid-riff was all padded up during the Charleston Southern game. He's not a 100% plus he has not had significant playing time.

I just don't think he would be that enthusiastic about helping Stet if he was able to play unimpeded.

I guess Kirby hasn't read his history. “They came on in the same old way, and we defeated them in the same old way.”. ~ Arthur Wellesley, First Duke of Wellington.
