So small-time bookies instigated a huge brawl between two high school teams and bribed a bunch of GHSA officials to actually follow GHSA rules?

Never attribute to conspiracy what is more easily explained as incompetence.

I think that is deeply true. I think most government conspiracies are born in gross or malicious incompetence.

It was 6 Gainesville players versus #1 for Brunswick in the red zone. How can you justify not suspending them?

In fairness, Brunswick instigated

Good on them for defending their teammates. Now time to learn a life lesson about consequences.

It's absolutely stupid for the governor to get involved. There are more important things for him to do. If he's smart that's the angle he will take.

One entire city is upset over it, seems plenty of reason to get involved.

At the end of the day, it's just a football game and its importance simply does not rise to the level of governor.

No allegedly about it.

And naturally, the injunction was issued and the 35 suspended players can play on Friday.

I hope Langston Hughes hangs 60 on them and doesn’t let up all game long.
