Makes sense. His coaching career has kinda stalled out. His son goes to UGA, so he probably just wants to be a Dad and enjoy being a Dawg fan again.

Wouldn't be surprised if he is our DC in a year or two.

I’d like to think Schumann is next in line. We will see. Welcome home. Go Dawgs!

Wait his son is a walk on quarterback? Why the hell didn’t we start him over JT at some point this past season just for shits and giggles.

Does UGA offer anger management classes?

Kirby says he doesn't work for UGA.

everything has been pointing to him getting a gig in the program. I think it'll happen eventually

Yeah, he's still got a few more teams in the SEC to frick up. No reason it can't be our turn next.

Analyst is the best of all possible scenario. BM pays him $50k/year, and it doesn't frick up his buyout. We could benefit from his input, but a limited role keeps him off the field, therefore from exposing the kids to his antics.

Nothing fricks up his buyout. USC owes him his full buyout regardless of employment and salary. He could get a $20 mil gig and they'd still owe him $15 mil.

We should hire him to be Kirby's sideline screamer. Give the HC the freedom to actually watch what's happening and calmly make decisions.

Really? They're typically set up so that the former school is on the hook for everything owed per the contract, minus whatever he gets at his next position, which is why they typically take analyst/coordinator gigs.

Jimmy Sexton must be slipping.

No, Sexton played the shite out of USC. He made sure that there was no mitigation clause and that Muschamp's buyout would be secured in full. Ray Tanner got played like a fiddle.

Nah, just give him some gold ropes, a few rippers of bath salts, and list him as our "Hype Man".

What’s more, whatever he makes at a new job will come out of South Carolina’s obligations. In the past, coaches have had undercut that by taking a minimal salary somewhere else, but USC’s contracts set the minimum offset (mitigation) at 75% of the previous holder of a coach’s new job.
