How many inpatients do you think hospitals have? We have 31 COVID-19 patients right now. The highest we got before three weeks ago was 10. We're not buried under dead people but that's 3 times more and We're still having a rise in cases. You can look on the news just like you said you could and see that Florida has it worse than most other places. Jacksonville also covers a lot more than just Duval County...so again...REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Less than 1% of Duval County has it.

That correlates with more available testing centers. This virus is not going anywhere. A legitimate vaccine (and not one that is being dangerously rushed into production) is a few years away. People are going to have to accept that.
So do we keep everything closed forever, or do we let people go about living their lives and allowing people to choose for themselves whether they want to stay home or go out?

Even after a vaccine I think this is going to be something that stays with us. Having antibodies isn't an umbrella - there's still a period where you have the virus and your body has to fight it off. Having antibodies just cuts or the time it takes for your body to identify and then manufacture a new antibody.

I've seen several stores who don't give a shite about the rule and aren't enforcing it .
My neighbor is a JSO officer and he has repeatedly told me that he will absolutely not enforce that.

No one does but I'm not trying to be the first a-hole that gets a ticket over it. Plus it's just a mask. I have to wear one at work the whole fricking day anyway. What's 20 more minutes shipping for groceries.

Your own article said Duval county had 387 hospitalizations since this thing started. And I doubt there's only one hospital for that entire county.
But your hospital supposedly currently has 31 COVID patients, which accounts for 8% of the entire 387. One week out of 27. One hospital. 8% of all the hospitalizations among around one million people?? bullshite
Not only is that very likely complete bullshite, but Duval County has a total population of around 1.05 million, and you've only had 10,308 total positive cases(< 1%), 387 hospitalizations(0.003%), and 70 deaths(0.0006%) since this thing started.
It's asinine to act like your town is a "hotbed", or fearmonger with statements like, "We currently have 3x as many as we ever had!"
Clearly, you're on some weird agenda for attention or to make shite sound worse than it is.
Stop it.

Football this fall???I don't think that masks will help much if people are closed in together for long times in tight spaces lacking adequate ventilation. I do feel safe grocery shopping with an N95. In wide open spaces outdoors masks probably aren't necessary as long as people don't get real close. I've been to outdoor cookouts and felt completely safe. I got trapped into an indoor dinner party that made feel me nervous but I won't do that again.
I don't like crowds anyway...being indoors at a dinner part is about like a nut thumping in my opinion.
I was getting gas yesterday and when I started I was the only person at the pump. Sure enough someone pulled up at the same pump / opposite side, got out, mask on, and gave me a look that could only say "you uncaring, self centered prick" LOL. I was filling up my 1 ton truck so of course it took forever and by the time I had finished 4 other cars had done the same thing. I was there first, the place has 6 sets of pumps, 2 sides each, and there were 6 of us there....and for some reason every pump had a car on either side.....I won't do that three years from now, if someone is at a pump I will go to the furthest one I can get to away from them because apparently I look like the kind of person who enjoys a discussion with a stranger....I am not, for what it is worth. Folks have lost their minds. I went to my local cigar shop after this and put on a mask when I entered and those old boys nearly laughed me out of the place...I may have a new nickname...Doc...in there from now own. Not the worst nick name I have ever had but still dammit LOL....

Wearing a mask to protect you from covid-19 as you enter a tobacco shop is .... what's the word?

And you can't understand why there's an issue here?
Again, you can't go, "We have 3x more cases here than ever before!" and give someone like him out of context ammunition, when the real context is you're talking about a minuscule 10-->31 fricking cases.
Get it yet?
These fricking liars don't need your help spinning lies of omission and incomplete context.

If I'm reading that right, it looks like it is saying that there are approximately 40,000 people hospitalized because of the China virus right now. This country has a population of roughly 330M.
We have a hospitalization rate of literally .00012%. So why are we disrupting our daily lives again?

According to the above COVID tracking project hospitalizations graph Florida doesn't provide hospitalization data.

CovidActNow.org says that Georgia's hospitalizations are up, but that they are at half capacity and the current trend does not indicate any danger for Georgia in the next 30 days (even with a fully open state).
covidactnow.org current day update
I dont know the website. I was trying to get georgia specific data that wasn't behind a paywall. There are reasons for concern in Georgia. But the biggest fears of an overrun hospital system are not one of them today (yet).

Yes I know I looked the fool but you never know with these people...in my area folks are pretty normal but they'd be politically moderate if not liberals in the south...up here they are right winged nut jobs LOL....So I didn't want to put them off in the same manner the folks at the gas station were....by the way gas fumes are probably as bad or worse for you than being outdoors with no mask during a pandemic or in a cigar shop....but I digress...yes, I felt like a moron when I walked in and they started laughing LOL...but then they all admitted that they had done the same thing and the owner admitted he had worn a mask in the store for about 5 hours to start the day, then someone mentioned him doing so in a cigar shop, they laughed and he removed it. At the end of the day we had a good laugh about it but deeper than that all of us are merely trying to make the best of the situation.....I don't mind wearing a mask if it makes others more comfortable but I am concerned that folks will assume they are good to go with a mask and start ganging up in piles and we would have caused untold economic damage for no reason. We probably have any way but once we did it we should stay the course....
