And I hope we do something to honor CMR down the road.

Obviously not on that scale but something to honor the guy who pulled our program from the abyss of the late 80's and 90's.

I have a feeling, down the road, people aren't going to remember Richt, and definitely not the 80's-90's you speak of. In fact, we might be renaming that field again.

They should name it Herschel Walker field. Without Walker, Dooley is a Richt 1.0

This is about what my reaction was. I don't hate Dooley or anything, but it's pretty clear that Walker more or less made Dooley, not the other way around.

The way naming trends are going, it will be Dooley Field and Sanford Stadium, where they play on the Walker grass, between the Richt hedges, and the kicker just drilled through the Butler goalposts, from the Belue 35 yard line, on the Bailey hashmark.

All, of course, brought to you by Carl's Jr.

Nice one.

However, if one takes a look on Twitter, UGA fans are now calling for a Herschel statute in front of the stadium. Seems appropriate. I support it.

I agree with the Dooley field and the Herschel statue. Dooley did a lot more for the field and UGA than just the 1980 season. But Hershel deserves the statue. Something like this pose.

Pretty sure Vince would be good with a Herschel statue as well. Who wouldn’t hell put em at every entrance.

I like the Mark Bradley piece...can't believe I'm saying that...written on the day of the honor about Vince and Barbara's reaction upon hearing on the car radio that Michael Adams was out as UGA president. Vince wanted to go home and get ready for the inevitable calls and media onslaught. Barbara said she wanted to make one stop first:

She wanted to go ring the Chapel Bell.

I believe there’s a personality available to cover every gate.
