Don’t think Kirby will let that happen. His message to the team is consistently with last year. The interviews with the players seems to be inline with that mentality too. I think it’s a different era for UGA football.

I agree that most likely we won’t lose to teams that we’re supposed to beat. But, being ranked highly does put additional pressures on a team, and also motivates opponents to play their best against a highly rated team.

Curious, but what is the rationale for ranking Clemson ahead of us? I see they got 12 first place votes and even Wisconsin got 1. Our guys should have a chip on their shoulders over that.

ESPN put Rodrigo Blakenship on their preseason All American team as the kicker.
He is a very solid kicker, hard to believe he is best in the country though

He had a hell of a 2017. 100% from inside 40 Ave 6-9 from outside I believe? He's not incredible from long range, but for our offense, he's perfect. Not to mention he dramatically improved his KOs. I admittedly haven't followed kicking everywhere, but happy we've got him to say the least.
