Washington is questionable and Smith is doubtful to play week 1 against Clemson.
I'm not sure why we have the injury bug all the time, but this is some shitty news.

With Pickens and Gilbert out, Washington was going to play a large role. I really hope he can be ready in two weeks. But in my opinion, Smith is the bigger loss. Clemson has some very good receivers and we're pretty inexperienced at CB.

Week 1 just got much tougher.

I still think we'll beat Clemson.

Tykee was gonna play star and I think Brini has enough experience to hold it down for a game or two. Your right though Clemson recievers are no joke. I expect Bowers to get plenty of pt against Clemson so I don't expect to much drop off without Washington.

Our advantage here is that Clemson's OL is suspect and we have the best Front 7 in college football. Going to have to keep pressure on DJ.

They're gonna be very vulnerable in the middle and their tackles should be adequate but then again,Clemson under Dabo has never had outstanding OL's (6 drafted in 12 years) They're almost always a little undersized and "athletic"

This matchup will be the key to UGA's success in Charlotte

There is a massive blocking drop off between those two.

Fitzpatrick has great blocking chops. Bowers will get targets for sure but I am interested to see if Ryland Goede gets more playing time because he’s more advanced as a blocker.

I am not interested to see that personally

This. Unfortunately, all of the reports on RG would lead me to believe that if he's getting significant playing time this season, one of the following is accurate: 1) he sold his soul to the devil, 2) we're in trouble injury wise across the offensive roster, 3) we are scoring 75 in the first half in every game so we're clearing the benches.

Classic UGA luck. When do we not go into the opener with some unexpected injuries? Yeah, all teams have injuries but we seem to have mastered the art of acquiring them in practice or away from play.

Let's hope these latest foot injuries aren't as bad as they could be.

Really? That’s disappointing. I haven’t heard much about him at all since he got here except that he’s been injured. Oh well. Let’s see the Fitzpatrick/Bowers show then.

How easily his blocking is replaced may be dictated by what defensive set Clemson shows up in. Against tOSU, they played 5-6 DBs for most of the game... I like pretty much any of our TE's ability to block their DBs fairly effectively. They might struggle to get chip blocks on some of the Clemson edge rushers though, so RBs may find themselves a critical piece in QB protection scheme.

I looked at current injures for every team and we have the most key injuries of anyone.

Unless it is high ankle or broken bone, it would seem they would have close to 3 weeks to recover.

Also, both are listed as day by day.

Either way, Brett Seither is gonna shock the world this year.
