It's a Midwestern thing. Indiana does it, too, and I think a couple of other schools in that region.

Right before the season, we lost 2 guys who would have had a lot of playing time. One was coming back from an injury and didn't make grades. The other was a "violation of team rules" that was rumored to be gun and drug related - he was a freshman AA last year. For some reason, they still decided to redshirt some guys who we expect to be very good.
I think that honestly, Odom looked at it and said - young team, new coaches and new schemes on both O and D. I don't think he expected to contend this year, so stuck with the redshirt plan.
#91 is Charles Harris. He really had a great game tonight - his first this year. The new D scheme has frustrated and confused the line especially. They've been off all year until tonight. Still not great overall, but SO much better than 2 weeks ago. Harris will probably be playing on Sundays next year. He's a junior and I'd be surprised if he comes back.

Sorry for not being politically correct with my response... Sorry for not naming the opposing team as a home field in my own back yard... Sorry for not surrendering to such pussification... Sorry for not accepting it as a great game w/o disparaging my own team... Sorry for not being a pussy like you...

Persoanlly I think it's pretty classy to come into the opposing teams forum and speak that way. Missouri is a heck of a team.
