The defense faced something like 86 plays on defense. Lost TOP by 8 min. I think we converted 2 or 3 3rd downs. The offense didn’t even give the defense time to catch it’s breath. It fails to even accomplish Kirby’s goal of conservative ball control.
This is me guessing, but maybe they thought AU’s defense would be more worn down than they were. Like worn down enough that handing it off every single time would actually work.

The constant reliance on back shoulder throws as the only form of passing game is absolutely baffling.

I have to believe any OC can devise ten plays to run on 3rd and 4 yet we don't seem to have an answer. Either run up the middle, throw for 2 or throw for 20. You can't tell me that we don't have a slant like Auburn ran all night, a quick out to a TE or a back, a screen??? God almighty, there's not a DB alive that can cover a 4 yard square out with Fromm throwing the ball...

That's my guess and it backfired spectacularly

Stat from dawgvent
We started the 2nd half with a 14-0 lead. In the second half, *five of our six possessions* started with two straight runs (or a behind the line pass, which I count as the same thing - just a long handoff).
Only *twice* did we throw a ball past the line of scrimmage on first or second down in the entire second half - the drop to Wolf and the pass Interference call on the scoring drive.

Which was dumb because we saw early that the deep ball was there anytime we wanted. Even if we dont connect half the time, it's worth throwing it to keep them honest

It's not baffling when you consider the rest of Georgia's apparent plan and how unlikely it is for that throw to be intercepted.
ETA: It is, however, mind-numbingly conservative football.

I understand why you say this, but that throw has been jumped 5x in the past 6 weeks and was a big reason we lost to SCar. If you only have to defend one pass, it's not that hard. It's just insane the way this guy is calling games.

Fromm had 3 TD passes in the game. One was a deep post, one was a wheel, and one was a flood/out route. It seems to me y’all make shite up and repeat it in your echo chambers

I made nearly same comparison during the preseason. Obviously this bunch is not that good. The eyes and videos show they can't separate. Landers, Robertson, and Simmons were deep down on the depth chart.
There's no receiving 2nd to 5th rounders in this draft. Holyfield was the power back you miss. The offense had Kirby's hands all over it in the 2nd half. Notice the lack of uptempo unless at the end of half or the game all season.
Being micro managed by a defensive head coach who is going to accept that position. You can tell with Coach O for better or worse he will go down with what his OC calls.

Except the video often shows something else.

Yep, we need more outstanding receivers. Blaylock and Pickens definitely have potential. We were lucky to get Cager from Miami but he's had injury problems and he's a Senior and will be gone next season.

Kearis Jackson shows potential.
And maybe we can bring in another Cager transfer next year.

Kearis flashes every now and then. I like Blaylock but he's not terribly athletic; he might be a good complimentary receiver but we need a go-to guy to emerge next season.

Blaylock isnt as fast as robertson.
Hes fast enough for college. Robertson is a 4.35 guy. Blaylock is a 4.62 guy.
They are pretty much the same size (blaylock has 5 pounds on robertson).

I'm starting to think you need a timeout. I'm not for banning people but you're either trolling or too stupid to post on here which is saying something.

2 of them were inside the 5 and 1 was a great deep throw. You cant tell me after watching us play this season that you dont think we are over-using the back-shoulder/comeback with a straight face.
