Even with some of our most prolific offenses it seemed like we put a lot of pressure on struggling defenses by either going 3 and out or hitting deep balls for quick scores. I've been critical of Bobo for not trying to control the ball and clock more to keep our D off the field...which obviously left me ridiculed and shunned for questioning the motives of the greatest OC to walk between the hedges.

This year...different story. Our offense focuses on the run and today we held the ball for 42 mins.

Yet we question HM's ability to stretch the field. Perhaps dinking and dunking is all part of the plan....

Perhaps young HM is begging to go deep but the Coach Bobo won't let him....

Control the clock...methodical play calling for long sustained drives...

I've missed the forest for the trees...GG Coach Bobo...GG...

Welcome to the Bobo doesn't suck fan club. For some reason it's lonely here and I don't know why. He's averages 45 ppg (prior to today) and gets shite on by his own fanbase. Unreal.

I'm with you, man. I'm a fan of Bobo. I think he utilizes the tools that he has to work with. He let AM throw the ball for quick scores and big plays and he draws up run plays, short passing plays, and even goal-line option plays for Mason and the backs.

He sometimes tries to get crazy with some brilliant play-call but it gets called at the wrong time, but otherwise we consistently find ways to put points on the board, even with our big play-makers absent.

He called a good game post 1st Qrt.

Mitchell never targeted long? Scared of the pass rush IMO.

I like Bobo and I'm fine taking shite for it. If you look at what he has done the last few years with a revolving door at RB and WR (yea, the RBs have been very good for the most part) and with some pretty poor o-lines (not so much the case this year), it's damn impressive. My only complaint is that he out-thinks himself at times and sometimes it happens to be at a bad time.

But there's no denying the production he has gotten these last few years. Oh, and not to mention he's done a hell of a job coaching our QBs.

And up until a few years ago, I was extremely critical of him. Turns out Richt knew better than me, surprise surprise.

Has anyone else noticed how unstoppable that goal line formation is with the two full backs lined up on the right side by side?

Targeted long earlier in the game and Mizz was in good, deep zone coverage....which is why the quick curl and stops worked

Bobo probably won't be at UGA too much longer and we will miss him. I know that he's smart enough to not just jump on an offer. He said in a interview that he had backed out of a few HC jobs because they were not the right fit. He's gonna wait until a good one comes along.

I really wouldn't be surprised if he was hoping to one day get Richt's job as has been suggested before. Not saying it's what'll happen but it would make sense that it's his goal. He's a Georgia boy through and through. Of course if he got the right offer elsewhere he'd take it I think, but it may be a reason he's a little more picky.

Absolutely. That play was good for 4-5 yards every time we ran it. Power football...

What exactly was genius about Bobo's play calling yesterday?

Run on 1st
Run on 2nd
Pass on 3rd and long

When mizzou defense started getting thick in the middle, he took the play to the edges.

Oline executed well so everyone looked good.

Nothing really genius about that. I could have called that football game.

Or perhaps, and I know this is crazy... just hear me out, Bobo has seen what everyone else with a working set of eyes has seen and realized that Limp-Wrist Mason can't thrown the ball deep to save his life.

I think Pruitt may have something to do with it, by demanding longer offensive possession to rest his defense.

I think it's just Bobo being a good coach and playing to our strengths. I can't imagine Bobo would slow it down at Pruitt's request if we could score fast and sling it all over the field.

I never said there was anything genius about it....just that it appears he's finally doing what we've been wanting to see.

Run the ball...control the clock....

Never said it was rocket science.
