Clemson series canceled

UGA and Clemson have mutually canceled the upcoming four game series in favor of riveting matchups with the likes of Tennessee State and Furman.

If you read further it said we are looking to do neutral site payday games with some of those opponents and that the home and home revenue situation was grossly affected by the 9 game SEC schedule.

When and if the playoff go to 24 teams, which apparently is the most likely outcome, I think that games like this will come back.
Last season frigging Georgia Tech and 8-4 Iowa would have made the CFP playofs last season if it was 24 teams.
Until then, it will probably be way and see.

Not really.
It is in favor of some seasons scheduling Alabama and Texas more frequently and some seasons scheduling Vandy and Kentucky more frequently.

That isn't what kirby or the AD or any of our fans want though, but it's being forced upon us because of sankey's decision to play 9 league games instead of 8. It's pretty simple really. We aren't afraid of clemson, we're making the logical choice based on the dumbass circumstances that were forced upon us.

Everyone else plays cupcakes too, or they play an easy Big 10 schedule. But I understand. You want UGA to give away all their home games, lower their revenue and recruiting opportunities, and reduce their chances of making the playoffs by playing a schedule with no easy games.

We already play 10. Every SEC school plays 10, plus two cupcakes in most years. Apparently the OP wants UGA to play 11 per year, or maybe 12 based on what he says in this thread. This is one way you can identify prospective message board trolls; they're virtually always in favor of whatever choice is worst for their "favorite" team.

But they do play cupcakes. Every SEC team plays 2 of them this season. You want Georgia to choose the course that reduces our odds of success. Either you understand that or you're too stupid to understand it. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you're not that stupid.

Funny that you are tossing “stupid” at me when you are as dense as concrete.
“But they do play cupcakes” is the system that I want ended, FOR EVERY TEAM, not just UGA.

never in history as most of the top 25 played a full gauntlet of P5 opponents. Cupcakes are a part of CFB and always have been. You NEED those games to give your players a break, not to mention the ancillary benefits like the average joe with a family getting to attend them when otherwise couln'dt, and the paychecks from those games supporting those cupcake schools so they don't go defunct.
What does any fan want for their team? To win as much as possible. Any other answer is some kind of offshoot from that...the etnire point of folloiwng the team and devoting your attention to it is because you want to see them win. So I truly can't grasp how someone would think playing 12 P4 opponents, plus an SECCG against a top 10 team, followed by at least 3 or even more games in a row against top 10 teams to win a natty is a good idea.
We have very little choice in our schedule. Just 2 games' worth of input in fact. So making those 2 games any harder than they need to be it just devoid of all reason and common sense.
