I don't think our defense could have a plan or performance as bad as what we saw in the SECCG. There's nowhere to go but up. That's good.

Michigan is strong defensively but have they dealt with a Bowers-Washington combo? Pickens will continue to get back to his old self. Michigan will try to play their version of bully ball but we can handle that better than a Heisman QB slinging it to elite WRs.

We can get a rematch with Alabama and will implement lessons learned. If Alabama beats us twice, well, they deserve a title.

And....how about the upset of the century...might Alabama overlook Cincinnati? They have a chip on their shoulders.

I'm here, bummed about last night, but we can make adjustments and win 2 games, I know it.

I have a funny feeling that Cincy might beat Alabama.

I used to wonder how on earth that REM song “Everybody hurts” could be so popular. I didn’t think people were really so fragil and emotional. Then I found this shithole and I get it now.

I bet its playing on a loop today in about every gsb mental patient household LINK…. 106 million views on this one alone

In. Actually not shocked at all, I’m a Dawg fan. I really thought we were the better team going in. Don’t think we established the run like we should have. Used the TE’s enough. Pickens in for so few plays was a bit disappointing, unless he is cleared but not 100%.

quote:

Our vaunted defense was exposed and we have coaches who refuse to changed. Watching us rush 4 the entire first half was just stubborn and bad coaching

Look at the Bama page, they hate BoB and the D-coordinator, talking this way all season. This is part of losing. We better get really freaking hungry over the next month, to the point of starving.

I've already got a flight and tickets for the orange bowl, so I haven't given up. But yeah "everybody hurts" is appropriate since our reward for winning the orange bowl and making the title game is the punishment of palying a team we know we wont' beat. That's getting old.

did you miss the part where I said I already have a flight and tickets and hotel for the orange bowl? Not sure your travel arrangements but I haven't quit.

It's just getting really mentally draining knowing that, this year especially, we are head and shoulders above every single team in CFB except for 1, that we're going to have to play twice. Any other year prior to 2008 we're celebrating being national champs in like mid-October because it's so clear cut. But nah, we have this alabama problem that we can't solve and one of the biggest ways to solve it, and the most obvious way possible, is the one thing our head coach refuses to do. I'm a fan and always will be but it's deflating man, I don't know how else to say it. We're defintely going to beat michigan because we're simply better htan they are. Bama is going to boat race cincy. And I'm going to spend thousands to go the title game in indy to watch us lose to the same team again for mostly the same reasons as before. It just gets old after a while ya know.

You said getting to play in the national championship with another shot at bama was some sort of bummer. Or a punishment instead of a privilege and an opportunity. You said Georgia has no shot of winning that game or any game against Alabama ever again.

By definition, thats quitting.

How could it not be a bummer? Anyone who has watched our last 4 games against them can see that we simply can't beat them. If we ARE to beat them, it's going to take a complete and total deviation from the norm and that doesn't sound like kirby.

No I said as long as saban is there. How could you argue otherwise? history has shown us that a saban vs. kirby matchup is pretty much set in stone as to the outcome.

I would muuuuuuch prefer to look at this from a realistic perspective and then perhaps get the biggest surprise ever and have the highest of highs and the most euphoric experience of my life afetwards if things go well, opposed to getting fired up thinking "this time will be different we got this!" and then be let down yet again.

You go to a lot of games so maybe you don't watch many other college football games.

THis year, I watched Texas A&M beat Alabama with a backup QB who makes Stet look like Joe Burrow. Alabama was terrible. And they struggled in some other games. But they've fixed things and gotten better when it means the most. Same for Michigan. They blew a 21 point lead i think it was and lost to MIchigan State. Looked terrible. But fixed things, kept grinding and got better for when it counted.

We are more talented than either of those two teams. And they should be scared as frick of what this loss will do to our motivation and preparation. It's on baby. I really still believe that this is the year. And in knid of a sick way, it's getting sweeter under these circumstances. Seeing Georgia fans act this way. It makes it even better to me somehow. I'm just realizing this as I type. Wow. IT's on, sons

I want to believe man I really do.

After we thrashed florida and bama had lost it was clear we were the best team in the country. Or I should say the #1 team. We truly weren't even challenged down the backstretch of the season while bama almsot lost to both LSu and AU. It was almost too perfect...the entire internet was saying to just give UGA the trophy and that it was UGA then everyone else. We set a friggin record for most weeks as unanimous #1 AP ranked team. But all of us knew in the back of our minds that bama was still the road block. Michigan, OSU, Cincy...IRRELEVANT. Truly irrelevant. If we wanted our ultimate reward we had to slay the dragon and beat a bama team that looks as bad as they've looked in 14 years.

So around comes the game, with a mostly UGA crowd, with us smelling blood, them having ZERO running game, a shitty OL, and a DC that their own fans would help pack up and move if they could...and we get trounced. We don't even look like we belong on the field with them. That's the problem. In other years we were clearly the underdog and tried to work ourselves into a frenzy to buck up and maybe get the best of em. But this year we were CLEARLY better going in and had everying going our way, and got destroyed.

It's just really mentally taxing to deal with that.

All of what you said here is true, but has jack shite to do with QB management. As bad as Stet played, the defense was even shittier. 'But the defense has played lights out all year so they get a pass'. I say "stet has played lights out all year too" and I'm the mongoloid. That's not an objective take. It's not rational. Saying "we can't beat Bama with Stetson Bennett" is like saying "we can't beat Bama with our defensive line". I repeat, it's not rational thinking.

All of this toxic bile self pity y'all are barfing up all over the place will end up affecting the program. Especially in the age of sewage social media. That's why Saban gave his rant about self absorbed fans a few weeks ago. Because the bile from the fans was starting to seep into the program and affect the players.

THis one, to me, isn't even in anywhere close to any of the past heartbreaks we've had. Yet, I've never seen the fanbase this toxic and rancid.

We made the damn playoff. That's the only goal of the regular season. To make the god damn playoff. And we accomplished the goal. We have everything we want out in front of us. Don't blow it.

I mostly agree..but generally it would be you and 3 other new teams to duke it out. While now it's clear we're going to have to play a team again that just beat the shite out of us for 3 quarters.

WG, you always hit the nail on the head. This is the reason I respect you. You know your football.

As to the QB situation, we are NEVER going to win a NC without an elite QB and Stetson aint it. The last "elite" QB I remember us having was Stafford.

Stetson cant read a defense, couldnt see the blitzes coming and shouldnt be on the field. He couldnt read a defense if they wrote it on his sleeve. Kirby should have pulled him at the half and let JT play.

And Kirby needs to realize that Lanning isnt cutting it as DC. Fricking fire his arse and make Muschamp our DC.

On another note, I am so tired of seeing every SEC team we face run the same damn play on us by throwing the ball up the middle and we have no one there on coverage. shite needs to change this month or all of us are going to be disappointed yet again come January.

I love the Dawgs but a lot of us are tired of the same ole BS with no changes made by the coaching staff. We all have a right to voice our grievances (and praises) but if Bama beats us in January come next season, the fans, alumni need to do what they did when Goff was HC. Fly a Cessna over every home game next year with a banner that reads "Fire Kirby." This shite is getting old.
