Per Radi. This one hurts more because of the DB inexperience. The plan on defense next year is simple to me, at least early on against Clemson and better passing teams. Unleash the D line and let them pass rush their hearts out and sit in coverage. Blitz as little as possible. Flood the field with DBs. We may give up more rushing yards than normal but at least then our young corners aren’t on an island. Jmho

Oh I fully believe he’s a future star but he hasn’t played a college down. If we started off with some warm ups I may be more optimistic but we start with Clemmy

If he combines well, he may get first round money.

There have been a few first round projections. I wouldn't be surprised, but him protecting before Stokes is odd.

He’s been projected as a first round pick in some mocks.

It’s not a bad choice.

Campbell was not that good. He had more PIs than pass breakups. He did not live up to his ranking.

Most of those were very questionable flags when he was a freshman right?

I’m more surprised with DJ Daniel leaving than I am Campbell.

They both should stay but outside of running straight down the field with a receiver, Campbell was kind of disappointing to me. He has elite speed. That's about it. Like Branden Smith with more hype.

Campbell is much better than Branden Smith.

He just isnt a bump and run guy like Eric stokes. He isnt a boundary guy like DeAndre baker.

Agreed... at worst, it's a calculated gamble. He's got a lot riding on his combine performance I would say, but he is well equipped to do well there. I think he could solidify that first round by returning for sure, but it's by no means a terrible decision to leave now either. Best we can hope for now is that he does in fact land a 1st round pickup somewhere to help sell our development/branding capabilities.

Water is wet. A lot of people want him to go pro and get that 1st round spot this year.

But this is the question...
Is it better for him to go 2nd round this year (possibly late 2nd round)?
Or 1st round next year?
What is better for Campbell?
What is better for UGA recruiting?

Meh... Pretty sure you and I agree here that his on field performance really indicated that he should return. (QBR against, completion rate, etc... pretty much every analytical metric said he was not a 1st round talent on the field)

With that said... what we think means about frick all now that he's declared. That's all I was getting at.

That's true.

I'd love for him to get that 1st round spot. He is absolutely, positively that talented.

Those freshman flags were because he was beat deep and tackled the WR. 15 yards is better than a TD, right?

Would have been a perfect year to come back too. Too bad.
