What the ACTUAL frick is going on on the offensive side of the ball? This seems like Mays dad playing the “pay me or I’m turning you in to the NCAA” card. I mean...why wait 2 years on this if it was the real problem.

This will be the excuse Cade uses to play immediately and not have to sit out a year when he transfers. And the NCAA will rubber-stamp it.

Cade signed with UGA after this happened. I would laugh him out of court

Let me see if I read this correct. So Mr Mays has a freak accident where his pinky gets in between a chair and a block column. Somehow someone sits down or the chair moves and pinches his finger and it flys off. How in the shite is this the fault of the University? Then on top of that, they sit on it for two years before bringing a lawsuit against the University. Sorry Judge, we rule for the defendant.

The precedent has been set by other players transferring and getting their way with the NCAA. I still think it’s laughable that Fields got the ok to play with no sit time by saying the university is racist because of one ahole in the stands that iirc was booted from the school. That’s one example in a pile of shite.

Both of them are some sorry assed pieces of shite. The dad for a frivolous white trash style lawsuit and Cade for being a turncoat little bitch. Oh the irony when we fold his fricking knee like a folding chair. I can hear it snapping in my mind now and it makes me smile.

I hope the NCAA grants Mays eligibility. Can you imagine the reception he's gonna get in Athens? Our defense will abuse him.

Haven’t read the suit. Generally, if there is a defective chair you sue the property owner/holder and the manufacturing company. I am guessing this is what is happening here.

I think the man sitting in said chair was defective and too dumb to work a simple mechanism . The Mays family can get bent.

Attorney Bruce Hagan was on Chuck and Chernoff this afternoon and explained it.

1. The statute of limitations in GA is up so he had to file now or never, so the timing isn't necessarily targeted at transfer stuff.

2. In suits like this, the fault could be found to be by a number of different parties, either the manufacturer, designer, property owner, etc, so it is standard operating procedure to "sue everybody" so you can actually request records and documentation so the plaintiff can actually narrow down who the responsible party might actually be. In the end, all the dozens of parties to the suit will be dismissed without any trial, either by summary or the plaintiff drops it, until they whittle down who is most responsible.

tldr; just because UGA AD is named in the suit doesn't necessarily mean Papa Mays or his attorney think they are responsible.... they are just covering their bases, legally, with a dirtbag lawyer because they are dirtbag people.

Interesting seeing the tweets from players on Mays. They seem surprised and irritated.

He couldn't give two shits about winning the lawsuit. This is for Cade to have immediate eligibility

Exactly! Aren't these the same chairs a hundred thousand UGA fans operate 6 Saturdays every Fall, without issue?

Interesting Radi decided to publicize this today (I think he was first?). Radi rarely says anything negative about the Dawgs or even recruits who choose another school. Yet he chose to drop perhaps one of the most embarrassing stories in NCAAF this season against one of our players? Definitely some vindictiveness in play here, and he may have even been green lighted by someone on staff. I don’t see UGA laying down on this transfer like they did Fields.
