I think I’m more disappointed than anything that nobody ever bothered to tell these guys that this dorm doesn’t belong to them. It’s an extended stay hotel room. If you’re not paying the bill to live somewhere, lock your shite up and assume someone else is coming in there when you’re not around. Just total lack of common sense

Right... "Guys... someone else has a key to your room and legally is allowed to enter at just about any damn time they please... make of that what you will, but if it were me, I wouldn't leave things out in my room that I wouldn't want a police officer to find."

I haven't been in them since they've been remodeled... not sure if that's sufficient. Need a combo of old Cres-hell and old Myers... none of the community feel that Myers had, all of the drawbacks to Creswell, and no AC.

New plan: Everyone lives there for one week when they arrive... just to see what life is like there...

If they don't frick up, they can move into the Athlete dorms... if you frick up, you're going back and have to earn your way back into better living.

Same. But to be fair, nobody partied in our hall. Everyone minded their business and was friendly, it wasn't like the movies. If you wanted to party you did it downtown or at a house party. Dorms are where you slept and did homework. It wasnt a hangout. This was Russell ca. 1996-97. There was no reason for the RA to be dick therefore he wasn't.

ETA- i remember hanging out with girls at Brumby and they were smoking weed and drinking and whatnot and it made me feel uncomfortable so I excused myself and went back to Russell to watch Seinfeld. Those were bad girls.

Our hall partied and our RA never called the cops on us. That was the year 2000.

I hope this is true

from the vent: "Watching Brenton Cox & Robert Beal run stadiums all day was hilarious. The strength coach had them doing crazy things, not just running. They would go down 3 rows then squat/sit on bench, then stand and go down 3 more rows...over & over. Then coach got a metal fence looking thing & he laid on it & they would lift him for a while but it didn’t look too difficult for them so then he laid on it and made them carry him up the rows for a while. I think I have a pic of it. They did all that for about 2 hrs. Then the came down to the end zone & he made them do wheel barrows(I think that’s the name)...where one person gets down on their hands & the other one holds their legs & they walk. They did that back & forth for a while, then lunges...then he made them lay down & do rolls from one end of the end zone to the other. It was hilarious."

I didn’t realize has it been announced or probably later?

Kirby and Co don't really 'announce' anything- likely they just won't play and nothing will ever be said. Unless university guidelines have changed, they still have to sit for a weed violation regardless of what Kirby wants to do.

We don't announce it anymore... "Handled internally" means exactly that... our punishments are not necessarily the business of journalists anymore. It gives the coaches/athletic department more flexibility to actually evaluate things based on the totality of the situation.

I liked it better when we publicly suspended players for a bunch of games for petty BS. It gave us a slight, moral high horse when we lost to teams that didn’t.

That is great!

I wish we could have that kind of punishment for most incidents teenagers get themselves into by making stupid decisions. Law enforcement seems to throw the book at teens over the smallest things these days. My neighbor's kid and his friends are facing felony charges over their senior prank last year of gluing the school door locks. I think all of them lost their college spots because of DOOR LOCKS. If they paid for the damage and had the Kirby/Sinclair workout, I think that everything would work out much better.

In fact, the world would be a better place if we got more teenagers on those stairs.
