A mean a NIT final four or better would probably rank in the top 10 for a seasons accomplishment right? Sad but true I think lol
This win theoretically is only our 2nd time in 20+ years that we’re playing in last week of March.

Typical UGA but Ill take it.

Nice to see the Dawgs making some noise. I seem to recall Ron Jirsa's Dawgs made the NIT semis when he had Jumaine Jones. We may have had another run in the NIT with Fox but I don't remember. Who else remembers when we had our NIT tournament appearances hung up at Stegman? We probably have more NIT appearances than NCAA.

I know Mike White’s Louisiana Tech team was kicking the frick out of us and we came back but fell short… Belmont beat us at home. I know we lost @ ISU a while back. I also remember Louisville, Air Force, and Fresno State whooping up on us as well. Yes, NIT is more UGA basketball history compared to NCAA.

Feel like Oakland best us recently too. And or saint Mary's

Sounds like we have 6-7 guys transferring at the end of the year. Melendez is definitely one. Jabri is probably another.
I’m VERY worried about our roster being plundered. Word is a lot of coaches want Silas badly.

Where are you hearing 6-7? I’m hearing we will have a couple and also hearing not to expect a mass exodus

Anthony Dasher said last week he thinks 6-7 is the number. My guess:
Melendez
Jabri
Anselem
Moncrieffe
Deloach
Jordan
The freshmen will depend on NIL but like I said Demary is really highly valued

How does that work with Melendez and Moncrief since they have already transferred?
I guess they would do a grad transfer?

Wow, that's crazy. How can any coach have success with 6-7 guys leaving? It's gotten where some programs have to rebuild every year.

They might be grad transfers
But even if they aren’t, a federal judge ruled all multi-time transfers are eligible to play for the rest of this semester. I would expect that to be the same next year as well.
And even if it’s not, the NCAA grants the majority of hardship waivers they get these days.
I think it’s safe to say they could expect to play next year one way or another

Jordan over at 247 seems to think the opposite. These guys like playing for White and it’s evident with how they’ve competed recently. I’ve said numerous times: Demary, James, Cain, Melendez, and DeLoach are “must” retains. The others are meh and can go. We’re also bringing in Asa which may help retain some of these guys. We’ll also get our pick from the portal as well.

I was kinda thinking the same as you KH. I just don’t see the max exodus, without some serious NIL being thrown at these kids from other schools.
But to be fair, not really sure what kind of NIL war chest we have built up for UGA basketball….
Either way, said it from the beginning of the season, we were a bubble type of team but had a brutal schedule. Proving we can turn things around. Hopefully some key players stick around and we grab a player or 2 in the portal to get into the Dance next year
Either way, LFG Dawgs. Beat some buckeye arse

Boys looking good...eBay (SP?) looks really good. Buckeyes look low energy. Let's make a fricking final four.

I had to dim the color a little bit. That lighting x court almost gave me an aneurysm.

Defense playing really well/Ohio State taking shitty shots. Need to extend lead
