Techies believe the switch to gru is part of a process to move the med school to Athens. They may not be completely wrong either

Did Iduwe play last night? He's a bit lanky at 6'10" 220 lbs, but it'll be nice to have another body with true Center size.

Oh I definitely think the med school will eventually move to Athens. Once they set up the branch campus there a few years ago it set the ball rolling. Curriculum is different than the MCG in Augusta and everything. I'd be amazed if UGA doesn't take it over eventually. They're getting residencies in Athens too.

I do think we are talking a long run thing though and not anytime in the near future.

Another step towards membership in the AAU. Med school & Engineering school should help immensely...

He played around 5 minutes I think. Definitely a big body, but he's going to be a project for sure. Doesn't look like he has the hands or touch around the rim right now to play solid minutes. Maten on the other hand looks good.

Stone cold shooting in the first half, missing one of our biggest playmakers, the other team had a former top 100 player who was probably one of the best dudes on the floor, and I haven't seen any numbers but there probably less than a couple hundred people there.

I think missing KG is really going to hurt us bad. I hope he comes back soon.

If guess there were probably 1,000 ppl there. Way more than I thought there would be. Shooting (including FTs) was terrible and we really need Kenny back. That being said, the game was so close because we were giving everyone pretty equal playing time. We will not do that in the regular season. We were up 13 with 2 min left before we subbed in our 4 worst players with Charles Mann. Ended up winning by 4. Maten, JJ, Juwan, and Thronton played pretty well IMO. Everyone else struggled.

Yea I agree there's no doubt UGA is pushing to try and get AAU membership in the future. No reason not to either.
