Why was deeprig so testy any time someone mentioned street racing in the past 2 months?

Not that I care a ton about his reasoning. But it was very noticeable.

Wait, where did you see him fleeing police? I haven’t read every single story, but I didn’t see anything about that in the police report. Have to imagine they would have charged him with fleeing. They don’t like that shite.

Sorry, poor choice of words. Fleeing/leaving the scene of the accident. Initially he said he was a mile behind them and drove up to the accident. Now he was racing, left, then came back.

And this barely a year after the Alabama player crashed into an innocent lady racing drunk at 150 mph and she and her dog were burned alive. Witnesses said they could hear her screams from inside the car as she perished. And now he’s facing 50 years in prison.

Theres no way everyone involved weren't aware of that story, yet there they were doing the exact same thing. And somehow thinking that such low IQ reckless idiocy is “cool”.

Young people do dumbshit. We tend to over react to scandal at UGA, Kemp, Harrick, etc...

Celebrate their lives and accomplishments, educate the team, and move forward.

An insider told me what happened. My testiness was wishful thinking that the cops wouldn't have enough evidence to bring a charge, therefore any chatter is just damaging to reputations and internet rumor. But now that there's formal charges, all that is out the window. Basically, the opposite of I Told You So.

You keep typing that same post barking at people to see this exactly how you see it.

Sorry. But Im not okay with throwing my hands up and just saying “kids do dumb shite. Oh well.”

When i see someone driving stupid aggressively, i always have the same thought: ‘Please God when they eventually crash at some point, let them be the only person that dies or gets hurt.’

Deeprig was doing right by not posting stuff from the rumor mill that could incite news to run with it. That does happen. Its out there now and this is all so terrible.

If she was driving an athletic department vehicle she most likely violated university rules.

No, I point out how historically bad UGA has handled adversity and how much UGA and fans over react.

Everytime i see a jackass driving i say thanks, you put all the other drivers lives at risk to save 2 minutes.....

Difference here, was they were all ours and no one on the outside had their lives ruined. Sucks but its done.

It’s way too early to answer either of those questions.

Nick Celini on 680 actually had a plausible idea:

He said that if he were Kirby, NOBODY drives through at least fall camp if you are in campus. You have to take an Uber.

I'd be surprised if there weren't immediately some new rules, or increased enforcement of existing rules, immediately following the crash. We just don't know about them. There hasn't been any incidents since then, and the AJC did admit to stalking the players. I'm sure they are on some kind of lockdown.

Really nothing exciting to share other than who was a good host and who wasn’t.
