I could be wrong SIC...but I believe he was saying 2022 draft, which would mean he leaves after 2021 season.

You might be right. At first read, that’s actually what I thought he was saying, but then I read it again and thought he was saying he’d learn the system better in ‘21 and have a huge 2022 season having mastered the system....then go #1.

He just posted in Twitter "more to come" and a puppy face by it. Anyone know what he means? Hopefully referring to next year.

There was a zero chance he was going to leave for the nfl draft.

The fact that Daniels came in and played as he did in the last two games after not having been in a real game in 15 months is what impresses me the most. All the comments from Monken and Smart indicate that the guy is obsessed with football and prepares like a fiend; wants to really master his craft. He just needs to work on a few things.

Give Daniels the rest of the season and offseason and he'll be well positioned for a great 2021 season. His draft situation would be improved for the 2022 draft.

Daniels and most of our receivers coming back is exciting...been a long time since we will have been in that situation. Plus with the tailbacks returning, there should be plenty of balance.

The combine would have always done him in. There is no hiding small hands and a weak arm.

Daniels made some great reads and throws, but missed two sure TD passes last game. He still has some work to do, but has a very high ceiling. .

It was his second game.I think he is still getting a feel for the game. I see it in the underthrown passes.

So I should be expecting a Burrow-Brady esque connection next season from Daniels & CTM? I’m for it.

No doubt. He didn’t see a wide open guy and had a few misses on throws and reads. I will certainly give him the benefit of the doubt based on where he is and his overall performance.. The brain trust here isn’t as forgiving tho.
