I think he stars and plays next year. But he is clearly first round talent, always had been.

He could have a first round arm but he still moves like he is highly favoring that leg.

If that goes away, I think he is first round in 2022.

No way in 2021

Do you not see the irony in this statement and this?

Smh, so much for having a chance against Clemson. Doubt he stays if this is true.

Exactly this. I thought he was favoring his leg and I keep seeing people question Kirby on why he did not start Daniels earlier, so I found highlights from his USC days and I will show highlights from MState. Compare the way he is moving and you will see a massive difference, I think.

JT Daniels USC Highlights

MState Highlights

Watch the way he moves in the pocket and when you compare preinjury to post injury you should see a huge difference and it might answer some questions as to why Kirby held him out. He still has a way to go, though.

It was literally the first one that popped up on Google. And let’s not act like other mock drafts are actually worth anything besides entertainment

Literally the first to pop up because it was most recent post on the web regarding the mock draft, which is probably why the topic came up yesterday.

I agree and why he should come back for 2021.

He will get killed by the scouts in a pre-draft workout in next two to three months if he declares.

However, 2022 and he could have a heisman run and be a top 10 pick.

Hmmm, I suspected that JT would get some NFL interest, but I think that guy is getting ahead of himself by suggesting he could be a first-round pick.

Don't get me wrong, JT had an incredible game, but that was one game against a weak opponent. And it's not like our schedule will be any tougher for the remainder of the season. It'd be different if he played the Bama and Florida game and lit it up.

You asked for proof. I provided the proof and then you complained about it. This guy

Even more than the opponent... they played cover 0 and cover 1 a ton.

That means they have a safety in man coverage. Safety in man against Kearis Jackson or Jermaine Burton? Mismatch all day every day. I dont care if you are Bama, Florida, or LSU. Those guys will eat a safety lining up 8-15 yards off the ball in man coverage every day.

Edit to add: I dont see a lot of cover zero this Saturday or in the Saturdays to come this season.

They switched later in the game, but point still stands. For the NFL He needs film against solid competition at full strength with time to prepare for him.

Lights out the rest of the season could move the needle, but that's is just not realistic at all. Everybody has bad games, and when it happens to JT I hope I don't see someone in here crying about how the kid sucks.

And we didnt score in the last 10 minutes of the game.

That's kind of my point.

I might could be realistic. Have you seen who we have left on the schedule?

This is true, and I hope to not see people panic, too. But, we tend to panic and go off the deep end even when we win.

Nah, that's not how this place works. There will just be criticism of Kirby for playing him instead of Beck, who, since we haven't seen him play, MUST be god-come-to-earth level good. Oh, and a bunch of complaining that Fields is gone.

If he gets to 100% with another year in this system he can expect a huge year in 22' and a legit shot at #1.

Wait....you think he not only stays for 2021, but that he’ll be here for 2022 as well?

I appreciate your optimism, but he’s gone after 2021 barring some major injury or inexplicably terrible stat year.
