Any Real Chance For A #99 Heisman

It is an award promised to the offense in this generation but there really is nobody running off with it. As our defense’s prestige grows, so does Big Jordan’s (and Jalen’s tbh). The Paul finebaum support for Jordan was pretty cool. There is lots of talk for our unit even though that’s not real, but he is no doubt the face presently.
I highly doubt it but a bye week is as good a time to start a social media campaign if our school was serious about helping push it.
I doubt it, but could the big man and DGD do one more mammoth thing and bring the heisman not only to UGA but the other side of the ball?

He’s the best player at his position in CFB but unfortunately there’s no chance

He’d have to get an insane number of sacks and TFL from here on out. I’m talking 8-10 sacks and maybe 15 TFL. He’s just not on the field enough for that.

Not with our rotating style, lack of plays by opponents and the coverage he is taking.
Pretty sure a high first round draft pick will make him ok with it.

Unfortunately.. No.
The problem is the Heisman uses numbers not impact.
The voters only read stat lines and watch replays and listen to analysts. 99 is the most impactful player on the #1 team, but you can’t show that on paper. You have to watch the game, the whole game.
He doesn’t lead the team in tackles, he doesn’t lead in TFLS, he doesn’t lead in sacks. In fact he’s not in the top 5 in any category. What he does is immeasurable.
However, I think he’s the best player in college football, but the Heisman hasn’t gone to that player in a long, long time.

If he gets 6+ sacks he'll get an invite.

He doesn't have the stats. His impact on the field doesn't show up on the stat sheet. They would rather give it to a QB who throws for 40 TDs

He's only in 1/3 of the snaps. The entire DL is more of a candidate, collectively, and that's never gonna happen.

Unless he sacks Young so hard he gets shot into the sun then no
