Soccer in Atlanta is huge. The United pack the stadium. Also, if you've ever played soccer or watched it - its a rough sport. That being said, im in the frick soccer crowd as well but recognize it's growing popularity in America.

I generally find most people who hate on soccer just don’t understand it, are too fat to have ever played it and looked dumb trying against quick people, or a combination of the two.

My son plays soccer, basketball, baseball, and football.
Baseball is no contact, football is contact but fully padded with helmets, soccer is entire games of getting kicked in the shins and elbowed while running up and down the field, and basketball is pretty hands off because of fouls but there is contact - Of the 4 sports - Soccer had the most injuries believe it or not.

It's a huge sport in our area, doubles our baseball and football numbers by itself.
