I don’t believe it.

For the first time in my life, I get to see the Dawgs win a championship.

What a season!

I’ve supported Stet, while also saying mid-season I didn’t think we could win a NC without JT. Both DGDs but I thought it was pretty obvious who had the higher ceiling.

I do wonder if there’s more to the JT story, as I’m surprised we never tried to get him ready for SECCG and beyond. Keep seeing rumors he may still be hurt but I also wonder if it’s an effort thing? JT almost seems to have checked out on the sidelines. I sometimes get the impression he doesn’t necessarily want to be in the game.

Maybe I’m also reading his sideline composure all wrong.

I’ve been in denial for awhile, especially seeing our defense obliterate teams in the regular season.

However, I’m now sold on offenses now win championships philosophy. Defenses just help you get there.

We had an elite defense this year, yet this was a less competitive game than the last two times we played the Tide in Atlanta. Got completely shredded by a team with a competent offense.

Respect to Saban. He always gets his boys up for the big game. But I’m not sure how many times he’ll have to humble us before Kirby figures out that a serviceable game manager will no longer work. Disappointing.

Go Dawgs. Let’s take care of business!

Don’t recall when it happened on the field. But I read it’s an apparent rib injury and that he was in street clothes the rest of the game.

Vandagriff has a 2” height advantage, so I wondered how much that was maybe playing a role in the recruiting ratings.

After watching Bennett this year, Gunner or Brock would both seem like giants. :lol:

Seems like a good place to look. I recall the Adairsville / Rydal area being relatively undeveloped (at least last time I drove 140 a decade or so ago), and not a far drive to hop on 75.

Dalton has really boomed lately. It’s crazy how much construction has been going on there the last few years. Seems like each time I drive through there’s new buildings I don’t recognize.

Of course I could say the same thing about ‘Nooga. That place is way too crowded for my liking. Bought a home in Marion county years ago in the Sequatchie Valley, in a town of 1300 people. Property taxes are a third the cost of Hamilton. Definitely prefer the quiet country life here. But it’s close enough to the city (45 mins) for when we need access to civilization.

If I’d grown up in GA, I might not care as much about the higher taxes (just because I’d be accustomed to it). But when I’ve calculated taking better job options in GA in the past, it never ended up being worth it after factoring in the income taxes.

We got the high sales tax here, but at least that’s optional to when I’m actually purchasing something (and then, just go buy in GA if it’s something expensive). Personally I much prefer the high sales tax over having an income tax.

Concealed carry permits are reciprocal between GA and TN. I’m not very informed on the reciprocity of hunting / fishing / sporting licenses… all of mine in years past have been specific to TN. I’d have to do more homework on that.

TBH it’s one of the only reasons I’ve stuck to the TN side of the border so far.

Bradley and Polk counties are good options. Mainly west of Cleveland towards Tellico Plains and Murphy (NC).
