No doubt. We’re locked into a national seed now.

That was amazing. The third baseman is the closer?
Need to watch this team for the rest of the season.

Did a quick look at what hosts could be right now.
1.Vanderbilt.........Indiana State
2.UCLA...............UCONN
3.Mississippi State..Dallas Baptist
4.Georgia............Indiana
5.Arkansas...........Creighton
6.Georgia Tech.......Auburn
7.Texas Tech.........Texas A&M
8.Louisville.........Illinois
9.East Carolina......North Carolina State
10.Oregon State......Baylor
11.Oklahoma State....California
12.Stanford..........Nebraska
13.West Virginia.....North Carolina
14.Miami.............Florida Atlantic
15.LSU...............Arizona State
16.UCSB..............Ole Miss
-Top three are set. Vandy has a much better resume than UCLA, but unless Vandy wins the SEC Tourney, UCLA would probably be #1 overall. Miss State is a crazy 17-9 against the RPI top 25.
-Georgia and Arkansas are locked into 4 and 5 from the looks of it. Resumes are just superior. Georgia has the better SEC record, RPI, more Q1 wins, higher SOS, and the one H2H win. Arkansas is 14-9 against RPI top 25 and a better road record.
-East Carolina is 2-6 against the top 25 RPI and has lost once already in the AAC Tourney. Probably drops them out of the top 9. Georgia Tech has the much superior OOC SOS which gives them a ton more Q1 wins and top 25 wins. Louisville just lost two straight in the ACC tourney. Texas Tech gets the 7 spot with 30 Q1+Q2 wins and a much harder SOS.
-Oregon State gets the slight edge over Oklahoma State because of keeping two teams of the same conference away from each other. Doesnt always work out, but one spot like this shouldnt hurt even though the Okies swept the Beavers. Oklahoma State can still get a top 8 seed with a B12 conference win.
-Two big wins for West Virginia put them into hosting and pushes the ACC to getting one from Miami/North Carolina/North Carolina State. State is losing to Wake Forest today which hurts big. It could come down to the Miami/North Carolina game tomorrow.
-Stanford and UCSB have inferior resumes but they get hosts because of RPI and being west coast teams.
-LSU gets the last spot. Lots of big wins gets them in over A&M, Creighton, and Dallas Baptist, who dont have many good wins.
Small conferences

So do we throw Hancock tomorrow vs winner of Arkansas-Ole Miss or take a chance and save him for Sunday if we win???
I think we should throw him tomorrow and let the bats try to win it for us Sunday. Pitching has been great so far

I think you play matchups depending on what happens tonight
If you’re throwing someone against Vandy or MSU on Sunday it should be Hancock
But if LSU does the improbable, throw Hancock tomorrow and Locey Sunday

Screw it. I want this SEC Championship. We’ve came this far

We are in as good a position as can be. But I’ll take a trip to Omaha over a tourney title every single time. If we lose tomorrow, I’ll still be happy to ride some good momentum and confidence into another national seed
Posted on 5/24/19 at 4:19 pm to tylerdurden24
Just saw a post that says we’ll throw both Saturday. Hancock on a pitch count
Posted on 5/24/19 at 4:25 pm to tylerdurden24
Guys. Why don’t we try to get both?
Posted on 5/24/19 at 4:50 pm to DawgCountry
Smart. Ability to pitch either next Friday.
