Wants to go somewhere where the odds are higher or almost guaranteed of him being a starter. Doesn’t seem like much of a conundrum. Sucks but it’s the portal era.

Out: Daniel Harris CB

He was 3rd string as of 5 games ago. Good luck to him.

It makes no sense to me why a kid with significant playing time and that is productive would opt for the portal rather than stick it out his last year in a system he knows and has a history of putting people in the NFL.

Making it to the Shield will always be a gamble for all but the very best players. Might as well get cash in hand now, if possible. I suspect that is often the reasoning, at least.

Watching Daniel play, he looked more like a safety to me. I could be wrong, but he doesn't seem to excel at what cornerbacks need to excel at: turn and run step for step with the receiver.

I won’t speculate or pretend I know why he made this decision. So I wish him the best unless he’s playing against my team.

Agree 100% with this. He always seemed to get beat on deep routes. I hated to see him out there, personally, but apparently Kirby saw something in him, as he (If I recall correctly) talked him into coming back last year.

That Charlotte coach he'd take any Georgia player. Maybe Harris can be a starter there.

Kirby's the best DB oriented head coach in college football. He knows if a kid sticks around, he can turn most of them into a serviceable defensive back even if they don't have ideal traits for the position. With our attrition rate in the secondary the last few years, I suspect he's trying to hang on to anybody with potential to become a decent contributor back there.

Harris leaving isn’t surprising at all. He has been firmly supplanted by both Robinson and Jones who could be an outstanding duo next year.

Our secondary class this year is also elite.

They need to make Jones walk back to Athens from Downtown after he spotted the Tide 30+ on that lone pity TD drive.

PI call was bullshite. The ball was thrown short and RW slipped & fell.

will be interesting to see where he lands, and if Kirby puts that team on the schedule.

The PI penalty was something I could live with. It was the personal foul that was totally avoidable. That said, he has been good for most of the year and look forward to seeing him back there next year.

I am preparing myself for even more bad transfer news and more headscratching portal entries than ever. With the 18 million in institutional spending, more teams will have more money than they know what to do with and throw more offers at our players than Kirby is willing to match.

It's going to suck and it will be frustrating, but then it will be over with and we'll go right back to kicking arse again once the 2026 season begins.

I think he is hoping other programs will clear him. The UGA staff did not.

Stud 6’5 receiver Jayden Gibson leaving Oklahoma, from the state of Florida.

Edit : I know the overall portal isn’t the intent of this thread but thought I’d mention it .

Like 400 yards, 26 ypc in ‘23. Missed ‘24 due to injury. Kind of pedestrian this year but so is their entire offense. I originally saw 19 yards per game this year and thought it was ypc but it’s ypg. He is listed as a portal 4 star & is 6’5, though.

Yes, Georgia offered a scholarship to wide receiver Jayden Gibson, who is a four-star prospect from the class of 2022.

Recruiting services said he was one of the top tall receiver prospects out of high school
