Liberty coach stepped out and started b*tching about it before Phelps got to first.
That put the ump on the spot, and you could tell by the look on his face when he made the call he was highly conflicted.

Apparently he was not taunting Liberty ... his family was above the Liberty dugout.

Was at the game, Tre was waving to his grandma and family who sit in the handicap section above the first base dugout. Liberty coach is a colossal bleeding vagina and escalated everything to the point that the ump tossed Tre. Couldn’t even explain what Tre said or did that was a gesture to their dugout, just kept insisting that he was “protecting his guys” I’m glad those losers get to ride back to their loser school and pout about it for the rest of the Summer. But now we have to play without Tre for game 1 of the Super because the NCAA has no appeals process.

I was listening to the radio broadcast and the announcers didn’t know what happened. I doubt Liberty knew his family was up there too.
Some of them referred to “what he said” without being specific. If he shite talked the dugout…yeah that’s not cool.
BUT..I’m a UGA fan so I believe my guy and frankly, given the magnitude of that moment at home there should’ve been more discussion about what happened before he got ejected. That was a huge shot so the kid should be allowed some enthusiasm.
