Allegedly Cortez Hankton hit on his mom during a recruiting visit in high school that Verron wasn’t on. Do with that what you will.

I'd heard that, too, just not who it was. That makes sense. Didn't he get fired for a sex party during the 21 SECCG weekend?

Unsticky the portal thread but there’s still 1 or 2 potential additions here.

Is there anyone who didn’t sign in early signing day, well basically main signing day, who is still in play?

The Penn State RB?

Will Rajecki is a RB who was committed to Memphis but decommitted. Also, Calicut is committed but has yet to sign. He should but not done yet. Maybe others?

The Calicut thing is real interesting. All the charges were dropped but I fear it was based off a technicality and his accomplice dying at a party after the event so he could basically dump all the blame on him. Would love to have his skillset. (6’2” 200 pound safety/ star). But idk if we will let him come after what transpired.

Insiders say they’re optimistic that he will enroll in May. Still not signed.

The latest update from his case by his lawyers was that he would be heading to Athens “soon”.

Can't ever remember coming close to seeing a list like this with so few Georgia logos on it.

I know that NIL has changed things, but shite!

I would be interested to see the same list one year from now and how many are still with the same team they sign with.

Heres the crazy thing - Georgia won back to back National Titles and has dropped in recruiting every year since and its starting to get into Mark Richt levels. My theory on this is - We were always told if you win - recruits will want to play for your program - Bama was known for this line when they would never admit to paying for players - What I think is happening is - We don't have the backroom finances to compete and probably never will again on the open market for players.

That's the quiet part that everyone knows but doesn't want to admit.

Kirby's ability to develop players for the NFL can overcome a lot of that (I hope)

I really don’t get this narrative. The NFL has players from other schools, not just UGA so other coaches have the ability also evidently.

The idea that UGA can sustain a top program at a discount is unrealistic.

I do think UGA has a stronger NIL pool than the public perceives. Our roster is more expensive to retain than most, and retention doesn’t create headlines.

We’ve hit and developed players at a much higher rate than most schools. Sure they develop players but we’ve put a bunch of lower rated kids in the NFL

Yep, it's clear to me that our recruiting is in decline.
We had the #2 On3 recruiting ranking for 2025 with: four 5 stars, nineteen 4 stars and five 3 stars.
So far for 2026 #4 with: one 5 star, nineteen 4 stars and twelve 3 stars.
What troubles me is that we seem to be settling for a lot more 3 star players.
Meanwhile, we have the 12th ranked portal ranking.

I can only hope that we are headed in a similar direction to Indiana with more 3 stars that stay on the team and become mature well coached players.

Hopefully this is where all of those administrative assistants earn their money.

Talent evaluation.

Only problem is that players, for the most part, aren't willing to wait their turn.

But at least they're relatively inexpensive.
