Heard Duce might delay his commitment past tomorrow. Still vetting his MLB prospects and isn’t 100% on us or USC.

He's likely to commit to us but not sign tomorrow.
He's been told he's a first rounder in baseball. I personally don't see it as there are far more rankings showing him outside the top 200 prospects than the one showing him in the top 32. If he really is a first rounder, he'll sign and no football. If not, he'll be in Athens in July after the MLB draft.

I might be off base here (no pun intended) but if I’m ranked that highly in both sorts, I almost feel like a football TE is an easier position to “make it”. Like baseball has so many guys get drafted highly that you never hear a peep from again because they might never make it past triple A. Idk. Could just be a perception thing.

That's a good. point. Another thing to consider is he stands to make a least a $1.4M signing bonus if he's picked last in the first round and up to $7.7 is he's the first pick of the MLB draft. A couple years ago, it would be hard to compete against that kind of money. Nowadays, I guess it depends on what kind of NIL deal he can get.

Yes. The only player of interest to us is Duce Robinson. I think he will commit to UGA, but not sign and wait until after the MLB draft.

Duce Robinson likely isn't announcing today.
We just missed on Walker Lyons, the #5 TE in this class, who apparently chose USC. Lyons won't play in 2023 due to going on his Mormon mission and will join the Trojans in 2024.

If the 2024 Composite rate forty 5*s like they did in 2023, Dawgs would have five 5* already. 10 commits, 8 of them top 100 recruits with Puglisi at 124.
