How so?

If he decides to stay through spring before transferring then he has to be enrolled in something right? Whether he transfers or not, he still has to enroll for Spring Semester no? Even if not, hegding his bets in case he wants to stay. Right?

If he isn’t staying, he needs to transfer before spring to set himself up somewhere else.

If he is staying, he is staying with the intention on starting at uga.

you think he transfer for a 2nd time, during the summer, to try and play in the fall...or you think he's going to transfer and sit out another year and then play? Pretty sure he gets a COVID year...but that seems absolutely ridiculous

He isn't transferring.

I normally would think he isn’t transferring again but it sounds like his QB coach flying out was a sign his family thought he had a chance to get his starting gif back. Since he didn’t, I say all bets are off.

I also don't think Brock sticks around

Folks keep saying this. Makes no sense for him to transfer. If both JT and SBIV stay he's still just a redshirt freshman for both QB's final years. Am I missing something?

you aren't winning a title without an elite offense. And we haven't had an elite type of offense in almost 10 years.

It's not like we were just rolling off title after title back in the days of "elite offense".

Because consistent defense was our problem back then. We can't seem to have both at the same time.

It would honestly be best on everyone if stetson moves on and I imagine beck will probably transfer which isn't a huge loss.

Agree on this.

Best outcome IMO: Win national title this year...Bennett gets to feel special and moves on. JT Daniels is back next year, 100% healthy (along with most of our current WRs) and we can implement the kind of offense Monken had originally planned for. Beck, who has questionable work ethic, transfers. Vandagriff is the backup and gets playing time to continue developing. Stockton is in the mix (but given he also is from small school Rabun County, he might wind up the scout team QB just as Vandagriff was this past season). Recruiting focus will then be on Manning and a couple of other big names for 2023 signees.

If Bennett returns next year - which he would only do if assured of starting - we're stuck with a limited ceiling QB for another year, and certainly Daniels won't be back. I don't think that would affect retention for Vandagriff or Stockton though.

If Daniels goes elsewhere and eventually winds up a big success story like Fields, it will create an interesting narrative for QB recruiting.

What would give you any confidence that JT would stay healthy for an entire season? Hell the nfl nitpicks even smaller things. Not sure what JTs future is but i am not sure its football. Can you imagine him on a practice squad in the nfl?

Zeus had two ACLs...he's been healthy this season. Lots of players have had various injuries...some go on to the NFL. I'm not going to speculate on whether Daniels or any other player is or isn't going stay healthy for a season, since most injuries are random events rather than due to a player being "injury prone." The "made of glass" comment is largely bullshite.

Once could also argue that using little Bennett as a runner for more than occasional use also poses a higher than average injury risk. If we want to go with a dual-threat QB, I would rather have someone bigger and built to take a beating.

Not really, the average college player has 5 years to play 4.

The good ones leave after 3.

I have never heard of one having one season ender, transfering and sitting out 2/3eds of that season, then missing 80% of the next.

Most are injured for one season not 3.

Except that perception often is reality when it comes to stuff like that.

I think Daniels' future with football will come down to what he does next season, here or somewhere else.

We'll know in a few weeks if JT will ever don a UGA uniform again.

If Stetson is starting, I suggest all of you lower your expectations. QB recruiting will also go backwards in a big way. If you had a 5 star elite QB, why the hell would you let him play for Kirby? Kirby is more likely to play some 3 star QB or walk on with a lot of heart.

I did due in large part because of that and what I feared would happen still happened in ATL.

Unless something is up with JT...what is the talk about his mental health?
