It is looking like it right now. Other sites are saying the tide turned yesterday in favor of us and he will sign with us today. We'll see.

I thought he wasn't announcing until 4pm today.

I've been trolling the Bama threads. They are trashing the Dawgs and our fan base already and Arnold haven't even announced yet. This from a team who just won a championship and has the number one recruiting class. Greedy bastards.

The insider said a few minutes ago that he was going to guess Alabama for Arnold, so.....who knows?

Offered 3* RB Cash Jones yesterday. He is from Texas and is currently committed to New Mexico St. He had no Power 5 offers until yesterday.

Heard Rusty on 680 about 8:15. He said he had to make his call for Arnold to UGA on 247 last night but doesn't feel confident at all. Said it could easily be Bama...

It'll be close either way.

I can't imagine why we offered a RB yesterday. (Poster above) I mean, I know we did, but with 5 or 6 RBs in the room right now I don't see why, unless we are expecting to lose 1 or 2 during the spring. I hope not.

If you research him, he’s 100% a developmental guy. If he comes, which we have no idea if that is realistic, he will 100% redshirt. He is 5’9” and 170 lbs.

I think that’s a preferred walk-on situation

Other than Arnold, late this afternoon, it's expected to be pretty quiet for us today, yes?

You are right. I remember seeing that now, but completely forgot about it.

Yes and no. We are expecting to land 2022 DT Bear Alexander, today. I thought it an odd choice for him to announce on NSD, but hey...whatever he wants. He's really good and glad we SHOULD be getting him.

Just a bit of nostalgia... while I don't dislike the new Early Signing Day and how this has all evolved over the past few years, I do miss the excitement that used to be associated with today.

I get it. You just have to look at it another way. Think of this being the same only coming in December instead of February, then we get a little extra in February.

But, I am old, and I get what you are saying. The older you get the more things change and you will be thinking of how things were in the past, and thinking they were better.

That's why when people start talking about changing the playoff team numbers, and schedules and things I try to caution them. Once a change has been made it is almost impossible for things to go back like they were. When we are young, we relish change and doing things fresh and new. As we grow older we resist change because it somehow disconnects us with a past we look back on fondly.

No offense, but Kirby is the driver of the new signing day movement and that isn't a bad thing.

He prioritized signing early on the first year (2018) of it's implementation and caught a lot of other programs off guard, including Alabama.

I miss the good 'ol days, too, but I'm glad Kirby did what he did. I think it's good for the recruitments of kids who might not be as well known as others. It gives teams two months to reevaluate their boards and offer kids they usually would miss.

ESPNU radio on SiriusXM is always advocating for more playoff teams. I understand they do it because of their exclusive contract with the CFP, but it gets tiresome.

Why expand the playoff so an undeserving PAC-12 team can participate? If you want to compete get better. Simple as that.
