Apparently some smoke around Gunner Stockton possibly heading our way next year. Saying he could verbal soon. I personally don’t quite get the appeal. JTD likely has the reigns this year. Then it’s Vandagriff likely until he leaves. Stockton is only one year behind BVG so it seems a bit odd. A good problem to have if it happens but still strange.

Stockton would be a great addition. He’d have to redshirt and wait his turn I suppose. If he’s ok with that, we should be. Go Dawgs!

This is a peculiar move. Anyone have any insight? JT has the reigns next year, so Stockton must be good with the competition with Vandagriff afterward. Somebody won't be around long.

According to Dash or somebody they were surprised we even offered Beck based on what they saw in practice. Said he always looked way behind. Idk. Like I said though. This move is odd but injuries and life happen so the more studs we can get the better.

He could have 2 years of separation from Brock if he is willing to wait, time will tell though, It's no guarantee Brock will do what we expect out of him either. I think it's a smart move on Kirby's part for some reason Brock doesn't pan out, we didn't put all our eggs in one basket.

Also, I could easily see our OC alternating Vandagriff and Stockton in the same dual-threat offense.

Yeah, Beck will still be behind Bennett on the depth chart. I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls the trigger and enter the portal.

I would be shocked to see them alternating. Why risk upsetting the flow of the game. Believe me, having a different QB come in upsets the flow of the game for the other offensive starters.
If they have different skill sets, I could see it. But they both run the ball well, and both are very accurate passers.
Your opinion is as good as mine, but I just don't see them alternating.
