Even better

Nyland Green is such a huge need that he is a must get in my mind. Seems like I’d we didn’t get him we’d be offering someone significantly less talented. I also feel like Maason Smith would be huge. I’d rather have him than Arnold, Sorey, and probably Foreman.

Get ready for a huge melt from Tiger fans. Arik Gilbert is supposedly homesick and might enter the portal
Read where BJ Ojulari is also a possibility.

Nyland Green to the Dawgs!

Last I heard, there did not seem to be mutual interest there. If we do end up losing Jordan Davis though, man would I love to land him from the portal.

Pleased with the Jimmy Horn offer. I ranted on here a while ago about how we were taking receivers with no definitive skillset or role. If you're going to take a three star he better have at least ONE elite skill.
I don't know what Jackson Meeks brings to the table but I damn sure know what Horne can do. No offense to Meeks but he looks like a project.
Horn can fly and he's totally worth an offer based on his speed alone. We can use him.
We just lost Makiya Tongue and Trey Blount. Blount was a 4 star but kind of a low rated 4 star and Tongue was always a stretch. We wasted two scholly's on guys who didn't really bring anything to the table.
Horn - if he comes - is going to get the ball and fly with it. I've said several times on here that Corey Wren was a big loss and it seems Kirby thinks so too. We've been trying to find another speed guy to go along with Arian and I think we finally got one. I wonder if Xavier Worthy decommits from Michigan? That would be another immediate take at receiver.

Does Ojulari have a spot here? Look at the position right now.
He'll get on the field, but how much?
Guess we'll all have to wait and see what attrition looks like @ seasons end.

Yes. Looking like we could lose several there. Also rumored a transfer Portal or two, so, if all comes true we would probably have a place for him, but not sure if we would have space for him.
As you said, it would depend on attrition.

A lot may depend on what the NCAA does with transfer ICs this year as well. I can't imagine Kirby wants to give up a bunch of recruiting slots in the 21 class, or hurt the 22 class size significantly. We're already likely to lose more than we gain in numbers as it stands it seems. Frankly, the entire concept of initial counter limitations should be re-evaluated in light of the transfer portal. IC limits were placed because coaches/teams were "overrecruiting" and kids were being pushed off of rosters - then forced to go JuCo OR sit out a year if they could find another option that would take them, and there was no mechanism to allow them to open those lines of communication under the rules either. If kids have a free pass to leave at any point, then at a minimum, it seems the IC limit should go back up to 28-30 if it's kept in place.

Shouldn't the current 3 transfers offset those numbers? I also expect a couple more to enter the transfer portal.

As of right now, outbound transfers don't increase space under the annual 25 IC limits. It helps with staying under the 85 total scholarship athletes though.

If you guys need a great laugh, the vols are starting to think they land Gilbert and some Tech troll is feeding the flames with a "source" that says UT, UGA, GT in that order

There's a better chance he plays at the Ted next year than at tech.
