I would think that if Arik leaves, we are the favorites to get him. LSU wouldn't bitch to the NCAA about us if we weren't the leader

A lot may depend on what the NCAA does with transfer ICs this year as well.

Absolutely.

While you may be right, if it were me, I would in a heartbeat for BJ Ojulari. He is a proven defender that is either leading or in 2nd in the SEC in sacks. I would take him over a "maybe" as quickly as I could. But again, I guess that would also depend on who I had to give up. Foreman or Masson Smith? I would have to think long and hard about giving them up.

If we are talking about the '22 Class? You would want to think long and hard about hurting it. Iy looks like we have a great start there, and there are lots of great players that seem to want to come here.

TLDR
Yeah. You're probably right.

Damn our secondary going to be legit next year, Cine and Stevenson at Safety, Ringo locking down one corner spot, then Lassiter and Nylan Green in the mix....yikes!

BJ Ojulari isn't nearly as stout and sturdy as Azeez Ojulari. He couldn't set the edge and hold up and do all of the things that that OLB is asked to do. I don't know what position he'd play at Georgia, aside from random third down edge rusher.

Finally someone said it. He’s good but I don’t think he’d earn much PT til he proved he can play the run. LSU’s defense sucks and he plays on that defense so he’s at least a contributing factor.

Maybe. But he is a true freshman. He has time to grow and get stronger. Remember Adam Anderson was used primarily as a spy and edge rusher for the past two seasons. That said, we might have options we like better for that spot in the class.

ETA
Just checked the LSU website roster and they have him listed as an OLB weighing 230 LBS.

Ummm...Alabama's defense is not very good either (although improving) Are you saying any players playing on that defense is a contributing factor and therefore not good?

Glad we didn't get some of those bums.

Not what I was trying to say. Just meaning if you watch him play you see Adam Anderson in a shorter body. Plays wild, rushes the passer well, but mis plays running plays and is a bit smallish. But he’s a freshman so i expect him to get bigger. Don’t get me wrong, I’d take him. But of all positions we could possibly add to, OLB seems to be of least concern. We’ve recruited a bunch of animals there already.

Yeah. I recall Azeez being pretty thin his first year also.

You might be right. But Adam Anderson is a pretty good player. As for OLB not being a concern, we are losing or could be losing a good bit there this year.

Sorey got a CB to us from a 247 analyst last night, but it was pulled a few hours later. Arnold got one to Bama but it was pulled as well.

Take that info as you will.

Apparently the kid is legit.

Might be a real loss if it's really a de-commit.

Yeah... that's a hell of a leap from:
shared picture of an edit wearing a team jersey
to
decommitted...

That said, if he does decommit, that would be a big loss given what we likely have heading out at the position this year.

Yeah definitely going to be very young at corner next year, we definitely need his services.

It's likely a troll job. He was just congratulating Nyland Green the other day.

Penn state is a dumpster fire so I don't know why flipping to them would make sense. He can get playing time here day 1.

This tweet is hinting at Xavian Sorey, apparently, the kid likes to cut hair. He cut coach Schu's hair on a visit.

He's not considering PSU. He's thinking of joining Neon Deion
